A Deal With the Statue Walkthrough

“A Deal With the Statue” starts at Lookout Landing inside the Emergency Shelter. Lookout Landing is one of the first places in Hyrule Link will go after finishing the game’s introduction in the Sky Islands. Players must have startedthe “Regional Phenomena” main questand completed at least one of the four boss battles to ensure “A Deal With the Statue” becomes available. Once that is done, go to Lookout Landing in Central Hyrule using the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower and find the Emergency Shelter.

The Emergency Shelter entranceis a large hole in the middle of Lookout Landing. Players must talk to the guard next to it if the doors aren’t open. Then they can jump inside and find a cleaning lady named Jerrin sweeping in the corner in front of a small hole in the wall.

Speak to Jerrin, and she will tell Link she heard a voice calling her from inside the hole. She is terrified that thevoice is a demon, so players can offer to go inside and investigate on her behalf. This will trigger a side adventure called “Who Goes There?” To go inside the hole, players must have Link crouch down by pressing the left stick on the joypad.

The hole leads to an underground tunnel called the Royal Hidden Passage. Large boulders are blocking the path that can be busted down using a rock hammer or a Bomb Flower, although the latter is less safe. Hammers are madeusing the Fuse abilityto combine a rock and a stick or sword. Make sure to have at least two or three on hand to clear all the stones.

Players will start to hear an eerie voice beckoning them closer as they move deeper into the Royal Hidden Passage. When approaching a fork in the road that goes forward or right, break the rocks to the right to reveal who is speaking. The culprit is a horned statue known as The Forbidden Horned Statue, which some players may remember as the Horned StatuefromBreath of the Wild.

Whenever Link speaks to The Forbidden Horned Statue for the first time, it will take away one of his heart vessels, starting the “A Deal With the Statue” side adventure. Talk to it again, and it will present its deal and return the heart. The deal is that players can sell aHeart or Stamina vesselto it for 100 Rupees and buy either back for 120 Rupees. This allows players to swap out a Heart and Stamina vessel as needed for 20 Rupees.
