Summary

A courageousZelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer posted a video of Link trying to place a box made out of concrete slabs on a Gleeok. Out of all the different ways that players have tried to take downGleeoks inTears of the Kingdom, this video is undoubtedly one of the most entertaining.

One of the most memorable aspects ofThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildwere the intense battles against the mini-bosses in the game, like the Hinox, a giant cyclops-like creature who can throw entire trees at Link, or the Stone Talus, a rock-like behemoth determined to squash the player like a bug. And, of course, there were Lynels, the massive centaur-like creatures that almost every player feared at one point in the game. InThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Nintendo decided to add an even more feared mini-boss to the game, the Gleeok. Gleeoks are three-headed dragons that are twice the size of most of the other mini-bosses. Depending on the type of Gleeok, these flying monstrosities can breathe fire, ice, or electricity. Then there are King Gleeoks, who can breathe all three.

Reddit user ReelDeadOne posted a video of their attempt attrapping a Gleeok inTears of the Kingdominside a box made out of fused concrete slabs. In the first attempt, Link tries to be sneaky and drops the box on the giant dragon without it noticing. The Gleeok whips the box away almost instantly. In the second attempt, Link uses Autobuild to drop the box on top of a knocked-out Gleeok, but once the box lands on the dragon, it gets tossed aside like it was nothing. The same exact thing happens again on the third attempt. It’s the fourth attempt that ReelDeadOne manages to see some success. Link successfully drops the box around the monster for a few seconds before the Gleeok blasts one of the walls out with its fire. It almost looks like the Gleeok is about to stay put, but it suddenly flies in the air, knocking the box away.

In the comments, some people suggested ReelDeadOne fuse Stakes to the box so that it can attach to the ground, making it harder for the Gleeok to break free. AlthoughStakes inTears of the Kingdomusually keep anything attached to the ground, ReelDeadOne confirmed that he tried it, and the Gleeok still broke free.

ReelDeadOne is done trying tocapture a Gleeok inTears of the Kingdom, but others in the comments seemed to be up to the task. Some people suggested adding Stabilizers to the bottom of the box and Hover Stones to the top of it. This may result in more attempts to trap a Gleeok, but at this point, it seems like an impossible task.
