OneThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer’s attempt to cook some food in the skies ended in rather quick disaster for them. InTears of the Kingdom, cooking is one of the most important aspects to surviving the game’s world. Being able to put together meals that not only restore hearts but provide buffs can mean the difference between life and death, even if the player has the skills to make things like awalking spider mech inTears of the Kingdom. But while the game gives players the ability to cook anywhere, there are just some places players shouldn’t be cooking their food.
InThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the player had only a few ways to cook food. The more basic of these involve finding hot places, making a campfire, or just setting fire to the food on its own. However, whilecooking using the hot horns ofTears of the Kingdom’s Dinraaldoes sound fun, it doesn’t allow the player to mix food together for added benefits, which is where the cooking pots found around Hyrule could be put to good use. With their cooking pot Zonai device, the player can cook full meals just about anywhere.

Posting to theTears of the Kingdomsubreddit, user Glittering-Buy uploaded a video of their failed cooking attempt. In the video, the player is on a wing flying through the skies of Hyrule, with two cooking pots, placed on either wing of the device. As they attempt to take their hearty truffles to one of the cooking pots, the weight pushes the wing aside, and causes not only the wing to tip, but all of their precious hearty truffles as well.
Some players have said that cooking mid-air doesreset the durability of aTears of the Kingdomwing. If that is what the player was trying to accomplish, it didn’t work out, and they lost all their hearty truffles in the process, as they are nowhere to be found when the player reaches land.
Yet, the excitement of trial and error is what makes playing throughTears of the Kingdomso fun. Experimenting can lead to discoveries like the fact thatTears of the Kingdom’s cooking pots actually make for good bike joints. The unfortunate fact is that some of these attempts at innovation may end up losing a player their beloved hearty truffles.
