Since the very firstXboxwas launched in 2001, the subsequent Xbox consoles that have been released since have featured their own unique dashboards, with Xbox 360 and Xbox Series X/S receiving mid-lifecycle overhauls as well. OneXboxfan has decided to design their own dashboard that updates things rather than drawing inspiration from previous eras like the Xbox 360.
Reddit user ZenkaiGoose has customized their own unique Xbox dashboard that still includes important elements of the existing UI, such as the games and apps section and available quick resume titles. The Xbox fan reveals the various parts of the custom dashboard in a clip that shows the designer flipping through the important pages of their creation after including the Xbox boot-up screen. The Xbox Series X was updated to get an impressive 4K dashboard last year, and although many fans have voiced their appreciation for the changes, others hope for even more changes or a return of theXbox 360 blades design.

ZenkaiGoose’s clip begins as any Xbox Series X boot-up would, showing the dashboard after the logo flashes across the screen, revealing a clock with a picture of a cityscape lit up with purples and pinks accompanied by recently used apps.Doom Eternal,Elden Ring, andTunicare the quick resume-ready titles in ZenkaiGoose’s clip, whileCupheadandPsychonauts 2appear to require a full launch, and YouTube and theMicrosoft storeare waiting on standby. ZenkaiGoose scrolls down to reveal the page of custom UI that includes several suggested apps, available storage, and all the pins that the player has saved, including grouped pins dubbed “shooters” and “vibes.”
Sharing similarities with some mobile phone UIs, ZenkaiGoose navigates to the side of the dashboard to highlight a more cluttered community page that includes favorites, friends online, create a party, a music playlist, local weather, recent achievements, a block dedicated toThor: Love and Thunder, and side buttons that would feel familiar on the standardXbox Series X dashboardlike a button to redirect to more achievements, party information, and more. ZenkaiGoose’s dashboard also has a page dedicated to Game Pass that puts trending titles likeHalo InfiniteandMortal Kombat 11at the top, while holding the guide button reveals a final screen in ZenkaiGoose’s custom dashboard in which Xbox players can search for content or deactivate the controller or console as they can when holding the button today.
