Xbox Series Xfans are getting an exciting opportunity soon, according to the official Xbox Twitter account. Users can register their Gamertag into a competition to enter the Xbox Hall of Game and win an Xbox Series X, the next-gen console releasing alongside its economy version, the Series S, on November 10. Players who don’t plan to compete can still enter and get a shot at an Xbox Game Pass.
The offer is free of charge, unlike some competitions that attempt to raise money (sometimes for charity) by making players pay to enter. The “top 8 performers” from each country will be able to enter into the Xbox Hall of Fame, while a random ten fans will also get a prize for entering, which encourages people to join the competition even if they aren’t thebest Xbox playersin their region.

Competitions like this are common in the video games industry as a way to drum up hype about a specific product, especially a console like theXbox Series X. TheXbox Series X pre-orderswere a fiasco, in some cases even causing damage to people’s credit scores, but the console sold out on pre-order day and the launch is rolling forward, accompanied by some memes poking fun at the situation.
