Marvel Rivals Still Has a Chance to Feature Major Villains

Characters Expected at Marvel Rivals' Launch

At launch, there are only three characters on the list that can be considered bona fide villains, and they are Magneto, Hela, and Loki. The three have consistently been depicted as oppositional forces to Marvel protagonists, whether it be in the comics or the movies. The likes of Scarlet Witch and The Punisher bring some interesting anti-heroes into the mix, but there are clearly far moreheroes inMarvel Rivalsthan there are villains.

Leaked Characters Rumored to Arrive Post-Launch

This list of20 characters recently leaked, and although they have yet to be officially confirmed forMarvel Rivals' post-launch content, the source is pretty solid, as they were discovered through datamining. Not only does this double the size ofMarvel Rivals' roster, but it also brings some truly unexpected characters to the mix, like Jeff the Landshark and Squirrel Girl.

However, there still isn’t a huge emphasis onthe villains of Marvel. Venom and Ultron make an appearance on the list, but the likes of heavy hitters like Thanos and Red Skull remain unmentioned.
