Destiny 2’sSeason of the Seraph has been building upon its narrative each week, breaking the mold of repetitive quests such as those found in last Season’s Season of Plunder. While opening Seraph’s Chests and Heist Battlegrounds run similarly, the additional missions branching offDestiny 2’s More Than a Weapon weekly quest continue to receive praise. With a return to secrets, Exotic quests, and old locations, long-time fans should hopefully be excited to continue playing this Season’s weekly quests.
Season of the Seraph has been one of the more popular Seasons ofDestiny 2, featuring multiple quests that tie into the story and introducing an Exotic mission that awards players with theExotic pulse rifle, Revision Zero. The story and quests further branch into missions designed to retrieve catalysts for Revision Zero, bringing players to past locations and enhancing the Season narrative while exploringDestinylore. This has provided a sense of freshness to the Seasonal stories, hopefully invigorating old and new fans, especially with iconic locations from the past making a return.

Bringing Back Secrets and Past Locations to Destiny 2
Season of the Seraph’s More Than a Weapon missionopened the door for players to experience Operation: Seraph’s Shield, which introduced the Exotic quest for Revision Zero. With additional quests coming in the following weeks to enhance the weapon with upgrades and catalysts, the quest has been favorably compared to last year’s Presage, which featuredDestinysecrets to eventually obtain the Exotic scout rifle, Dead Man’s Tale.
Additionally, with the release of the first catalyst for Revision Zero, Frenzy Refit, players must proceed through More Than a Weapon to unlock the quest Should You Choose to Accept It Part I. More Than a Weapon Week 4 brings players to the Temple of the Iron Lords at Felwinter’s Peak. This return to a past location is incredibly wholesome for long-term players who playedDestinymany years ago. Here, Felwinter’s memory core must be extracted, and doing so causes the Warmind Rasputin to reveal a shocking twist aboutDestiny 2’s Clovis Bray.

These secrets and puzzles are remembered fondly, and with Operation: Seraph’s Shield and additional quests following suit, long-term players may look upon this return to form as promising. With the introduction of Should You Choose to Accept It quests, this offering of adventures revitalizes the Seasonal model, bringing in mechanics from past events, likeDeep Stone Crypt Raid, but adding the necessity for higher challenges.
Exotic Quests and Catalysts in Destiny 2
With Season of the Seraph bringing backDestinysecrets and Exotic quests, it only makes sense to draw the parallel with Presage. Presage featured puzzles, clues, and secrets - 15 total - that players needed to discover to unlock the Gilgamesh Ghost Shell while further discovering the mysteries of the Glykon.Destiny 2’s Dead Man’s Talewas awarded at the end of the mission, similar to Revision Zero being rewarded at the end of Operation: Seraph’s Shield.
Should You Choose to Accept It Part I and II require players to replay Operation: Seraph’s Shield on Legendary difficulty, offering a more challenging experience and greater rewards. Additionally, there are 50 differentlocations forDestiny 2’s Security Dronesfound throughout the othermaps that, when destroyed with Revision Zero (they can only be destroyed with the Exotic), will open a secret door to a room located in Operation: Seraph’s Shield.
Eventually, after braving through different defenses and security clearances, players will find an Exo dog they can interact with to activate Good Boy Protocol, unlocking the Guardian’s Best Friend Triumph. With so many twists, turns, puzzles, secrets, and Exotics being woven into Season of the Seraph’s Weekly quests, Bungie has shaken up the formula and should make long-term fans excited to play through the Season - albeit for a short time, with Lightfall’s impending release.
