The past year has seen indie games getting plenty of love at Microsoft’s live events. The Xbox and Bethesda Showcase in June brought notable announcements like thelong-awaited new trailer forHollow Knight: Silksong, while Gamescom last month saw the inclusion of multiple games launching on Xbox Game Pass. With over 90 minutes of reveals set to happen next week, it goes without saying that the trend will continue going into the fall season.
Game Pass in particular has proven to be rather beneficial for indie titles. Not only has it exposed them to a much larger audience than many of them could find on their own, it also gives users more incentive to try out titles they may have never considered playing before. Of course, there’s the downside ofbeloved games eventually being removed from Game Pass, but with how many more titles are slated to come to the service, users shouldn’t worry about running out of new indie experiences games to discover.
