Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis the latest game in the popularBorderlandsfranchise, and though it is more of a spin-off than a mainline entry in the franchise, it does much to keep the traditionalBorderlandsatmosphere alive. There are plenty of enemies to shoot and guns to loot inTiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Moreover, the game has a lot of easter eggs for fans to discover.Borderlandshas often been a franchise that includes plenty of references to other popular media, and from weapons to quests to parody characters,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis no different.

Many of the easter eggs to be found so far inTiny Tina’s Wonderlandshave been related to quests, such as the “Little Boy Blues” quest that leads to theplayer encountering aSmurfseaster egg. The same is true forThe WitcherEaster egg inTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, which is located through a questline given to the player. ConsideringTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis based on a fantasy setting andThe Witcheris one of the most popular modern fantasy IPs, it isn’t surprising to seeThe Witcherappear in the game, and there are a couple of quests during which the player can encounter some funnyWitcherreferences.

To begin theofficialWitcherquest inTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, players must find “The Ditcher” quest which unlocks after completing “Son of a Witch.” Upon traveling to Sunfang Oasis to begin “The Ditcher” quest, the player will be accosted by a “Mysterious Vagabond,” who tells the player that they have doomed the world and its inhabitants.

Upon further investigation, the vagabond reveals themselves as “Geritt of Trivia.” Described as a “hunter of monsters, slayer of daemons… kisser of witches,” it’s hard not to see the resemblance between the character inTiny Tina’s WonderlandsandThe Witcherprotagonist Geralt of Rivia. However, there is one major difference between the two characters that keen-eyedWitcherfans may notice, as Geritt of Trivia believes that “walking is for peasants,” after which they teleport away from the player. Anyone familiar with Geralt of Rivia knows his hatred for portals.

Geritt of Trivia also seems less likable than his counterpart inThe Witchergames, as theTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsiteration of the character makes him out to be more pompous, regaling the player with his tales of monster slaying and how bards sing of his exploits. There’s also a nod to a well-known scene inThe Witcher 3involving Geralt, thesorceress Yennefer, and a unicorn, though fans might be glad that scene isn’t recreated inTiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
