TheCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2throwing knife issue was pointed out by Redditor FMQ0, who showed off a clip where the knife simply bounces off an enemy’s head. With a slow-motion replay, it’s clear that it should have killed the enemy, and it’s unknown exactly why it didn’t. Some in the thread theorized that it’s an issue with the geometry on Shipment, though the knife doesn’t land anywhere near the barrels seen in the clip. Ultimately, there’s no way to truly know the cause, but it certainly isn’t the player’s fault here.
It seems as though the game has had some issues with Equipment items not quite working as intended so far. Some players also feel thatSemtex is broken inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with it also not killing gamers, in what can likely be attributed to a glitch. It isn’t even clear how long this throwing knife glitch has been part of the game.
