The Witcherweb-series has been a huge hit with fans of the novels and newcomers. Netflix has already commissioned a second season of the show, and there is already plenty of conjecture about how the season will better the first. However, after an interview with Joey Batey, who plays Jaskier, many fans will want to see the fun the actors had behind the scenes of season one before they get the second installment.
The Witcherfocuses on Geralt of Rivia as he battles monsters for coin and overcomes the moral quandaries he faces on his journey. Much like the original books and the video-game adaptations, the web-series has been very successful and becameone of the most-watched shows on Netflix in 2019. Unfortunately for fans, Netflix rarely shows the making of its content despite fan demand.

Batey revealed that “Within the first couple of minutes of meeting him (Henry Cavill), we were in fits of giggles” and went on the explain, “I’d love to see the blooper reel of this show one day, because we’re constantly making each other laugh, which is difficult, because obviously Henry’s playing a very gruff character that’s not supposed to smile very much”. It seemsThe Witcherwas as fun to make as it is to watch and many fans will be hoping that they can get their hands on the blooper reel full of laughs.
The Witcherseason 2 will not be available until 2021, with this in mind there may be space for behind the scenes footage to keep fans entertained while they wait. It is not a common practice for Netflix to release additional content, but The Witcher isn’t an ordinary show, and with the fanfare it has attracted the may persuade the streaming service to make an exception. For the remainder of 2020, many will be trying to figure out what storylines will feature in the hotly anticipated second season.
There have been plenty ofrumors circulating about season 2 ofThe Witcher, including Game of Thrones stars, Jaskier wearing his recognizable hat, and Danny DeVito starring. It will be interesting to see how many of these rumors prove to be true and come to fruition in season 2. Either way, it looks like there is plenty for fans to look forward to in 2021. In the meantime, there will likely be a number of fans asking Netflix for the blooper reel from the first series.
