A reveal trailer showed off the new Temple of Fire update forThe Rogue Prince of Persia. The Temple of Fire is a new biome that will introduce brand-new mobs and weapons for players to make use of. The new enemies in this update are the Shielded Warrior and Duelist, and the new weapon is the Flaming Censers. This update was planned ahead of time, as Matt Houghton, a developer at Evil Empire, notes that the trailer was recorded days beforeThe Rogue Prince of Persia’s early access launch. The game is targeting a full release in 2025.

The team at Evil Empire appears to have much more in store for fans ofThe Rogue Prince of Persia. With the current update following just two weeks after release, and such a long stretch of time until the game’s targeted release, there is a potential for many new biomes, enemies, and mobs to be added prior to full release. The Temple of Fire update also introduced the Meta Progression Skill Tree, which allows players to spend Spirit Glimmers on lasting upgrades, which is a gameplay mechanic thatmay remind players ofDead Cells.

This is not the only new update for thePrince of Persia Franchise. As a part of the June 10 Ubisoft Forward showcase, an update forPrince of Persia: The Lost Crownwas revealed in addition to the update forThe Rogue Prince of Persiaand a new teaser trailer for thePrince of Persia: The Sands of Timeremake.
