Those that spend a lot of time building Zonaite machines inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomwill definitely want to increase their battery supply as soon as possible. More battery charges means longer-lasting creations, which can really come in handy when navigating the massive map of Hyrule. But even a hoard of batteries will eventually run out of juice. Thankfully, there is a nifty armor set that can cut battery consumption in half.
To get the Zonaite Armor Set, players will need to travel to three different areas, with one piece of the armor in each location. Here’s a look at how to grab the entire Zonaite Armor Set inTheLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How To Get The Zonaite Waistguard
To reach theZonaite Waistguard, players will need to have quite a bit of stamina as most of the methods to reach the Forge Sky Island require lengthy glide times. It’s recommended that players have a decent amount of Stamina boosting and refilling foods on them before attempting to reach this area. While it is possible to build certain contraptions to reach the Forge Sky Island, it’sfaster and easier to make it there by having access to the Zora Armor Chestpiece.
To reach Forge Island, players should head to Popla Foothills Skyview Tower in West Necluda. After launching into the area, players should fly east and land on thenearby North Necluda Sky Archipelago. Here, behind the shrine, there is a platform that features a large moveable launcher. Players want to aim the launcher to the East/Southeast where they will spot a large waterfall falling from the sky. Link can launch himself from this platform and then take the lengthy glide over to the waterfall, where theZora Armorwill whisk him automatically up the cascading liquid. Players that don’t have a ton of stamina will likely need a hefty amount of food to make the flight and Tulin’s Blessing can be a big help in gaining extra speed.

Once players make it to the top of the waterfall, they should head around the small water pool (there is a hidden chest under the water that can be snagged using Ultrahand) and towards the floating platform. After quickly dispatching the lone enemy, players can attach a rocket to the platform and activate it to fling the floating hunk of rock toward Forge Island. Once on Forge Island, players will need to activate the nearby seal, which will open a path by unlocking the area’s smokestacks. All Link has to do is glide up the Smokestacks, moving from one to the next, until reaching the top of the island. From there, players will need to dive down into the middle of the structure and avoid laser beams along the way.
Once at the bottom, players will spot a Shine with some lava behind it. If they head around this shrine andthrow a water-based item (or use a Hydrant) they can create a platform in the lava, which they can then hop onto and use Ascend to make it into a small hidden alcovethat contains the chest with the Zonaite Waistguard.

Those struggling to locate the path and chest can use the following video guide.

How To Get The Zonaite Helm
As a first note, to reach this area “normally” (I.E. without creating a flying contraption or having tons of Stamina)players need to ensure they have the Zora Armor Chestpiece as it will allow them to climb a large waterfall from ground level. Getting to theZonaite Helmcan be tough for those that are lacking battery power, so it’s important to take along someLarge Zonai Chargesjust in case. To start, players should head to Strock Lake, an area just below Rito Village.
Making It To Lightscale Island
To access the waterfall that touches Strock Lake, it needs to be raining in the game world. This can be during the day or night but the weather indicator next to the minimap must show water droplets or the waterfall will not be long enough to touch the ground. Players can simply sit at a fire and wait for rain to show up if needed. Once the waterfall appears, players will need to climb up it to make it to the base of the North Tabantha Sky Archipelago. From here, players can head past the small pool of water and snag a nearby minecart. After setting the minecart on the track, players can attach a nearby Rocket to the back of it and use it to propel themselves to the next island via the rail.
Once they arrive at the second island, players will spot a ramp that extends out to the left, as well as some Wings.Across from these Wings are some Fans and a couple of Rockets. Players can attach the Fans and a Rocket or two to one of the Wings before setting it on the ramp and launching themselves towards the next island in the distance. This is a rather long flight and takes almost three bars of battery to make it. At a certain point, when flying towards the island, players will notice a blue flash of light that denotes that have entered a low gravity area. Once this happens, they can leap off the Wing and use their glider to conserve battery.

On this island, players will only have two Springs to work with. The next Island players are targeting is off in the distance and features a large platform with a Flux Construct mini-boss on it. To reach it, players need to connect the two Springs together, putting one on top of the other. It’s important to align the Springs correctly to ensure players get as much height as possible. Once the Springs are connected, they can move them to a small area closer to the islands in the distance, climb atop them, and use a jump attack (Y + X) to activate them. This will launch Link into the Low Gravity air and should give players enough height to glide to the next area.
Once players are on the island connected to the Flux Construct boss platform, they will find a small square with Fans and Batteries. If players look up and to the left of the Flux Construct platform from where they are, they will see Lightscale Island, the location they need to get to far above them. Players should attach any remaining Batteries they see beforehopping onto the craft and letting it rise up towards the large island above.

Solving The Puzzle At Lightscale Island
After arriving at Lightscale Island, players need to use the nearby Zonai switch to drain the water. From there, they should spot a beam of light shining towards an opening in the rocks. Heading over there, players can use a bomb to blow up the wall and let light into a nearby cavern. Down in the cavern, players will need to pick up a Mirror and aim the light beam until they spot a second Mirror. From there,it’s as easy as aiming light beams toward each additional Mirror until players eventually aim the light at a Mirror pointing straight down. In this area, there is a Construct Guard that players must defeat.Once defeated, he will drop a Mirror Shield, which players can then pick up and use to direct the beam of light toward its final destination.
After all the light beams are connected and the island “opens up,” players will spot a chest just above the bright green lock that the light is shining into. Using Ascend, they can hop up onto this platform and retrieve the Zonaite Helm.

How To Get The Zonaite Shin Guards
To Get The Zonaite Leggings, players will first need to make their way to aspecial Sky Island known as the Sky Mine. This particular spot isfloating high above the clouds in the Akkala Region, andplayers should head to the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower in Akkala (just Northwest of Tarrey Town)to give themselves a good starting point. The island that players need to reach is above the swirling pattern off the East Coast of the Akkala region, where the Gemimik Shrine is located. Players with a lot of battery charge or Zonaite Charges can build whatever type of flying vehicle they’d like to reach the location, but it is important to note that it’s fairly far away from the tower itself. The easiest method to reach the Sky Mine is to launch into the air from Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower and head to the closest large platform, dubbed the Sokkala Sky Archipelago (also known as the Sokkala Sky Mine).
Players should note that the Sokkala Sky Mine is not the area they’re attempting to reach. The island they want to be on is simply titled Sky Mine, with no other monikers. Players can use the Sokkala Sky Mine as a starting point to reach their destination.
Once players reach the first platform, they can defeat the Flux Construct II or simplyrun past it to a nearby platform that contains a partially-built Zonai vehicle. By attaching the nearby batteries to this device, players should have just enough juice to make it to the Sky Mine, where they will want to land on the lowermost platform.
Once players are on the Sky Mine, they’ll need to use the nearby launcher to boost themselves up to the top of the island. From there, they need toangle the next launcher so it is pointing at the large sphere in the sky and then launch one of the cubes so that it lands in the top hole of the sphere.Once players have successfully landed a cube into the sphere, they can put themselves o the launcher and travel into the hole of the sphere too.
Once inside the sphere, players should position the cube onto the button, which will cause the sphere to rotate. After it’s finished, players will be able tojump down from the hole and access the middle chamber of the sphere, where the armor piece resides. Players can follow along with the following video if they find themselves stuck.
