The Day Beforedeveloper Fntastic reports on social media that some of its videos have been removed. The survival horror MMO shooter has seen no end to its problems which seem to keep mounting as the game nears its release date. From delays to trademark disputes, it seems the issues that bog the game down keep coming, which has already led to many questioning its existence. That only seems to continue as the developer ofThe Day Beforekeeps posting more issues with development.
The Day Beforeis an upcoming survival horror MMO that seemed to have been fairly promising when it was first announced back in 2021. Many sawThe Day BeforeasThe Divisioncrossed withThe Last of Us, with an open-world game set in a post-apocalyptic America ruined by a virus turning the populace into the shuffling, moaning undead. Based on what has been shown of the game, it would entail exploring the world, collecting loot, managing supplies, and overall just trying to survive the daily onslaught of zombies. There was even PvP and the idea of survivor colonies in the trailer, hinting at further complex systems the player would have to manage.

Unfortunately,The Day Beforehas been hit with myriad problems since its first announcements, another of which just happened to hit the developer’s videos of the game, as several of its videos have been allegedly taken down by both Steam and YouTube, such as theten-minute video ofThe Day Before’s gameplayposted a couple of weeks ago. Fntastic took to Twitter to talk about this in another bizarre tweet, citing that it’s related to the trademark holder ofThe Day Before’s title.
In the official tweet from Fntastic, it notes the news that its videos were taken down before going into what the tweet labeled as “3 facts.” First was that theowner ofThe Day Before’s title’s rightsis “the creator of the calendar app,” which it doesn’t find relevant to the category. Second, after Fntastic announced the game in 2021, the owner wanted to “take over the title and filed for trademarks ahead of us.” And third, the owner “ambiguously offers to contact to discuss something, but what?” It then ends the announcement with “We’ll fight. Power is the truth.”
From these trademark disputes to delays that further prolongThe Day Before’s release date even to this day, it almost feels like there will be no end in sight for the survival horror MMO. Due to this, many have called outThe Day Beforefor being fake, which the developerFntastic has denied such allegations. Even with recent gameplay, many still think the game will never see the light of day, and with the countless issues that the developer seems to be up against, no one can truly know when it will actually be brought to consumers.
The Day Beforeis set to release on July 05, 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
