Updated June 01, 2025 by Erik Petrovich: The wide world of mods for Skyrim continues to expand, even a decade after the game’s original release. Skyrim: Anniversary Edition is set to release on Jun 28, 2025 and contains a swathe of mods that promise to completely change the way players experience the seminal RPG. Some of the mostfunny Skyrim modswon’t be included in this soon-to-be-released collection, and as many are no longer being updated, time is running short on being able to experience these hilarious addons at all. When it comes to theweirdest Skyrim mods, players have limitless choices including everything from replacing the Thuum with a fart noise to full-on expansion-sized comedy addons – though most of these mods tend to be small.

20Animated Fart Shouting
Shouts inSkyrimall use the same tired third-person animation of the player leaning forward to launch their Thuum forwards. Players who want something a little bit different have lots of mods available to them, none of which quite tickle the funny bone like the Animated Fart Shouting mod.
With this mod, both the sound and player animation for the Dragonborn’s shouts are replaced with something a bit more flatulent. The player will bend overto launch their… Thuum… and even other enemies that use the Voice will use the farting sound effect instead of the normal one for their shouts. It’s a bit juvenile, but it’s an easy laugh.

TheAnimated Fart Shouting modcan be downloaded from theSkyrimNexus.
19My Little Pony Weapons and Armor
TheMy Little Ponyseries is, for better or worse, an integral part of the last decade’s meme culture, just likeSkyrim. It’s natural that the two would come together in some way - and the My Little Pony Weapons and Armor mod does a lot more than just combine the two.

The mod brings a variety of Weapons, including the Twilight Sparkle sword and Pinkie Pie arrows, as well as of course Armor, like helmets that practically replace the player’s head with that of one of the show’s characters.

18Uncle Sheogorath’s Really Helpful Tips
Sheogorath isn’t known for his insightful or helpful comments, he’s known for his ridiculousness, jumblings of words, pretty evil actionsin his past, and insane musings on life and experience of mortals. Similarly, Skyrim’s loading screen tips don’t help player much either.
The Uncle Sheogorath’s Really Helpful Tips mod changes loading screen tips to sound more like they come from the mouth of the Daedric Prince of Madness himself. Lines like “Ysgramor smelled faintly of violets his entire life” sound like they come from the mouth of the Daedric Prince of Madness himself.

Uncle Sheogorath’s Really Helpful Tipscan be downloaded from theSkyrimSteam Workshop.
17No Spiders - Spiderman Edition
Arachnophobia is a fear that some video game developers in modern times take time to design around, offering players alternative models for the spiders or ways to get past them without having to see their eight-legged forms. The No Spiders mod replaces spiders inSkyrimwith other models to make them less terrifying, except for this edition of the mod.
The Spiderman Edition of No Spiders retextures every spider in the game to have the red and blue webbed costume of Marvel’s most well-known hero. Whether it actually makes the spiders less terrifying is dubious, but it’s a mod that will take players by surprise if they forgot they installed it.

No Spiders - Spiderman Editioncan be downloaded from theSkyrimNexus.
16Super Skyrim Bros
TheSuper Mario Brothersseries is perhaps the most well-known video game franchise of all time.Skyrim, on the other hand, might be the most well-known RPG of all time. Put the two together and you get the Super Skyrim Bros mod, which doesa lot more than retexturethe game.
The expansive mod adds a new area, the Mushroom Kingdom, for players to explore as well as new NPCs, weapons, armors, and other collectibles. Containing a variety of themed levels, Super Skyrim Bros takes place in a dream and thus, theoretically, doesn’t breakThe Elder Scrollslore - though this claim is challengable, to say the least.

15Guards Are Chickens
In vanilla Skyrim, guards are the ones who provide the majority of entertainment. They’re disrespectful, and always have something sassy and witty to say. It’s no wonder the “arrow to the knee” line has become so famous in the game.
What if, however, the guards were actually not guards but something else? One player decidedturning the guards into chickens, which drastically changes the look the game. Nothing like getting arrested by an angry chicken after stealing someone’s sweetroll.

Guards are Chickenscan be downloaded from theSkyrimSteam Workshop.
14Partysnax
Paarthurnax is a fan favorite. He’s a wise and kind dragon, someone who has worked hard to overcome his evil nature. He’s one of the few dragons who actually take theDragonborn’sside and agree to help him defeat Alduin.

As a result, he’s become the subject of tons of jokes, including people changing his name to Partysnacks. Now, there’s even a mod that gives him this unique little nickname that Skyrim fans use out of affection for him.
Partysnaxcan be downloaded from theSkyrimSteam Workshop.
13Sweetroll Randomization Act
Skyrim wouldn’t be what it is without sweetrolls, these delicious-looking pastries that can be found scattered around the world. Even the guards will sometimes ask the player if someone has stolen their sweetroll, that’s how iconic this treat is.
Anyone wanting a bit more sweetrolls into their game will love this mod, which introduces a sweetroll standing stone, a random chance of getting a sweetroll, and even sweet trolls, which are trols with the sweetroll texture. However, be warned, because sweetrolls can now result in addiction.

12Dragon Punishment For Cloud District Quips
There’s no question about who’s the most hated man in all of Skyrim. Nazeemin Whiterun, and his arrogant attitude, has often tested the patience of even the best players. Even after the Dragonborn has saved the province, he’ll continue to question their ability to visit the Cloud District.
But no more. This mod allows players to punish Nazeemfor questioning their status. A punishment will allow the player to send Nazeem flying into the stratosphere, a spell from which he will almost always recover in time to be punished again.
Dragon Punishment for Cloud District Quipscan be downloaded from theSkyrim Special EditionNexus.
11Courier Frostbite Spider
Skyrim isn’t meant to be a particularly scary game, but players who have a fear of spiders might find it hard to deal with Skyrim’s trademark Frostbite creepy crawlies. Luckily, they’re all usually contained within caves andNordic dungeons, or some deeper parts of Skyrim’s forests.

However, this mod ups the horror just a bit more for arachnophobes by turning that sweet, helpful Courier man into a big Frostbite spider. Imagine the terror of seeing a spider chase after you with a letter in hand, and decide if this mod is really worth a heart attack.
