This will mark Rocksteady’s grand return to the DC universe, and though it has been delayed multiple times - most recently after a controversial gameplay trailer, the community is intrigued to see what the veteran studio delivers. Rocksteady needs to ensure that this title is not just fancy buzzwords, giving fans a truly bloody superhero adventure that revels in its high stakes.

The Suicide Squad sees some ofDC Comics' most popular villainsteam up to take out a dangerous threat, but they do not do this willingly; they are instead forced to save the world by the villainous Amanda Waller. To ensure they follow orders, Waller injects each character with an explosive device. The villains can either die saving the world or die trying to escape.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguewill be putting players in control of this titular team, and Rocksteady needs to ensure that they stay faithful to the source material. This means that not all of them should walk away from this fight. WhileSuicide Squad’sco-op gameplaymay prevent a protagonist’s death, it needs to happen if Rocksteady wants to do the team’s concept and history justice.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguewill see Brainiac brainwash members of the Justice League. The title of the game suggest that the Suicide Squad will be actually attempting to kill some of DC’s most iconic heroes to prevent the end of the world, and hopefully that is actually the case. If Rocksteady does not intend to haveany Justice League members die, its subtitle would be strangely misleading in hindsight. While not every hero needs to die, some of them will likely not stop until members of the Suicide Squad are killed first; it will be up to the player to stop them.
When players pick up a game calledSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,they should expect a lot of carnage. Everything about the title implies that major characters will die, and Rocksteady has shown that it is not afraid to kill off popular DC characters intheBatman: Arkhamseries. DComic fans have a bit of a wait before they can get their hands on the game, so hopefully it does not disappoint when it finally hits store shelves. Pre-release gameplay trailers did not do a great job of hyping it up, but there is a chance Rocksteady’s storytelling will make up for any shortcomings. The game should not be afraid to shed some of its characters along the way.
