Now, he’s announced that he’s taking on a new voice acting role where he will be putting his iconic and menacing voice to work.

Corpse Husband is well-known for his very deep and intimidating voice, which lends itself well to a variety of streaming activities. He’s previously made a name for himself narrating creepy stories, playingAmong Us, and evenperforming his own songs. With all of that behind him, it may not be a surprise to learn he’s trying his hand at voice acting next.

According to a recent post from Corpse Husband’s verified Twitter account, he will be voicing Ojiro Otori in the English dub of the upcoming animeTribe Nine.Tribe Ninecomes from the samecreator as the iconicDanganronpafranchiseand will feature a video game as well an anime series. Although the game’s release date is unknown, the show premiered in January 2022. Early materials suggest that Ojiro Otori will be a major antagonist, if not the main villain, meaning that Corpse Husband will have a very important role.

The tweet features a short promotional clip that shows a glimpse of Ojiro Otori. Although it doesn’t last long and much of the clip is silent, it does serve as a teaser for how Corpse Husband will be playing the character. In the video, Ojiro Otori is shown standing behind a helicopter on what appears to be a skyscraper overlooking a city. After a long pause, he says “How insignificant,” in Corpse Husband’s famous baritone and turns away from the view. Interestingly, Ojiro Otori is shown wearing a face mask with a similarly intimidating and toothy design to themask Corpse Husband’s avataris often shown wearing.

As of writing, it appears that fans are cautiously optimistic about Corpse Husband’s foray into voice acting. The streamer hasstruggled with a chronic illnessin the past, but it appears that he still has the drive to continue working. A number of Twitter users replied to his post with congratulations. Fellow streamer Valkyrae declared that she was very proud of him and couldn’t wait to watchTribe Nine, while Sykkuno simply replied with a smiley face. Meanwhile, voice actor Gianni Matragrano offeredCorpse Husbanda warm welcome to the voice acting community.
