At some point, players are likely to be acquainted withStarfield’smultiple environmental hazards. One of them is Corrosive damage, which eats away at unprepared players in the form of acidic damage. This can lead to burns in the long term without preparation and a waste of aid items.

If Corrosive damage is a real issue for players, there are a couple of spacesuits to consider for maximum protection. Ideally, all four environmental hazards would be covered equally by a spacesuit, but that usually won’t be the case, at least not with non-Starborn spacesuits. Here’s which spacesuits grant the highest resistance against Corrosive environmental damage inStarfield. Note that the highest value for normal suits is 30, hence why all spacesuits on the list have the same value.

The Starborn suitswill not be considered for this ranking.

Honorable Mentions

The ranking being still a work in progress, here are a few suits that have not been tracked down quite yet:

9SysDef Recon Spacesuit

Pictured here is actually not the SysDef Recon Spacesuit, but a variant it shares a model with. The SysDef Recon is the same model but with a different color in-game. It’s unclear still how players can earn this suit, but it will likely be only accessible to those who make an enemy of the UC SysDef during the Crimson Fleet questline. As such, it’s a bit of a difficult one to earn.

8Deep Recon Spacesuit

A very common spacesuit with a foil-like, golden appearance akin to the infamous Mercury Spacesuit found at NASA, the Deep Recon Spacesuitcan be purchased from vendors inStarfield. Look around in all the major settlements, and eventually, it should appear in someone’s inventory.

It’s definitely one of the more unique-looking suits, a sort of throwback to the early spacesuits of humanity before they left Earth.

7Mercenary Spacesuit

The Mercenary Spacesuit is one of the strongest in the game thanks to its great Damage Resistance stats. However, it also does pretty well on the environmental hazard resistance side, with a nice round 30 Corrosive Resistance. Find it in vendor inventories, or out in the wild in the form of loot. It’s not a terribly rare armor, but should be picked up when found for its sturdy stats alone.

6Experimental Nishina Spacesuit

A unique variant of the Star Roamer model, the Nishina suit is acquired during the Constellation’s main questline. After finishing up the Entangled questwithin the Nishina research facility, players will be rewarded with the full set, including this slightly more buffed and stat-heavy spacesuit.

5Mark I Spacesuit

The simplest way to geta Mark I Spacesuit is to get the one that’s locked up in the Lodge’s basement. The only problem is the Master-level lock, so players may want to level up a bit first before attempting to open the display case.

It’s also reportedly possible to steal the suit by placing the cursor just right on a crack in the display case.

4Navigator Spacesuit

The Navigator Spacesuit is an interesting one. It’s very commonly featured in vendor inventories across the main settled systems, so getting it won’t be an issue for most players. The appearance is what makes it stand out from some of the other bread and butter sets in the game, with a more nondescript style that could fit any explorer or scoundrel alike. Plus, it comes with good resistance against all corrosive hazards.

3Pirate Assault Spacesuit

On to some of the more unique spacesuits, the Crimson Fleet’s Keyis the best spot for some pirate-themed suits. There are a few different versions to choose from, including the Assault suit which has balanced Damage Resistance stats on top of a powerful resistance stat against corrosive hazards.

The inventories at the Key rotate, so for this to appear, players may have to wait for a little while and check back again later.

2Pirate Charger Spacesuit

The Charger variant of the pirate spacesuit is a bit bulkier with heavier-looking armor plating. The PHYS Damage Resistance is also higher than the Assault one’s, which makes it mildly more combat-friendly.

It has an identical corrosive resistance as the Assault one but doesn’t have the 20 points in Thermal Resistance that the Assault version has. As with the previous, players might have to check back later at the Key if the Charger variant isn’t currently being sold by the local vendor.

Starfield Deep Recon Spacesuit

1UC Startroop Spacesuit

Sharing the same model as the SysDef Recon Spacesuit, the UC Startroop Spacesuit has a distinct black coloration that sets it apart from the blue SysDef Recon variant. Moreover, this one’s actually a bit easier to get, as players just need to ask around a few vendors in the major settlements ofStarfield. It should appear eventually in their inventories.

Starfieldis available on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
