One of 2022’s most anticipated titles is Xbox and Bethesda’sStarfield, an open-world RPG much in line with the studio’s other previous franchisesFalloutandThe Elder Scrolls. Tidbits aboutStarfieldhave been trickling out little by little over the past few months as Bethesda has shared concept art and screenshots from the game. Today, Bethesda shared another piece of concept art depicting a lush jungle environment.
Over onStarfield’s official Twitter page, the team at Bethesda shared a look at a new biome that players will be able to discover and traverse in their travels around the cosmos. The concept art in question depicts a lush jungle environment no doubt teeming with unique and absurd flora and fauna, not to mention interesting and dangerous creatures. The Twitter post claims thatplayers will come across environments inStarfieldsuch as this one that will be “lush and abundant with life.”

It’s clear with these pieces of concept art that the team at Bethesda wantsStarfieldto play host to as many unique and diverse biomes as it possibly can to keep the game feeling fresh over what is likely to be dozens of hours of gameplay. By just glancing at the jungle environment art, one could miss the player character standing among its plants, seemingly diminutive by comparison. Rest assured, creatures large and small will be hiding in and around that jungle just waiting to tangle with the player-created character.
It is not immediately apparent whether this jungle is just one part of a bigger area in the game or if one whole planet will be devoted to this sort of environment. Nevertheless, it seems as if Bethesda wantsStarfieldto be as massive an excursion as it can be, really making the players feel that the universe is endless and rife with possibility. The company recentlycomparedStarfieldto having “step out” moments, such as the moment players step out of the Vault inFalloutgames. No doubt those moments will make for good camera mode shots.
Starfieldwill not be releasing until November of 2022 so the teams at Xbox and Bethesda have many months to slowly fill in the fanbase with new and exciting bits of information to keep them satiated until launch.Bethesda is confident the team will make the November date, so only a little less than a year to go until players can traverse theStarfieldcosmos.
Starfieldwill be released on June 07, 2025 for PC and Xbox Series X.
