The Danger in the Deepis one of a bunch of new achievements added toStardew Valleyas part of the 1.6 update. All these additions require completing quite a few steps before they can be unlocked and added to a player’s achievement or trophy list.

Named after the correspondingMr. Qichallenge found within his Walnut Room on Ginger Island, this achievement presents players with an exciting task:Get to the bottom of the “Dangerous” Mines. Before accessing this achievement’s challenge, you mustcomplete the Mysterious Mr. Qi Quest.

How to Get the Danger in the Deep Achievement

To unlock the Danger in the Deep achievement,you must complete the titular Mr. Qi Quest. Aftergetting 100 Golden Walnuts, Mr. Qi will start giving you Special Orders. One of these orders is called “Danger in the Deep” which grants the respective achievement upon completion.

The challenge involvesreaching the bottom of the ‘Dangerous’ Minesin seven days.Once you accept the quest, everything (including the elevator system andAdventurer’s Guild items) is reset, and the enemies in the Mines are buffed. Despite this, you must traverse all 100 floors to get the achievement.

Upon reaching the final floor, you’ll have the opportunity to revert The Mines back to their original form and toggle back to the dangerous mode at your discretion. However,completing the challenge once is sufficient to earn the Danger in the Deep achievement/trophy.
