If there is one person, outside of George Lucas, that almost anyone can connect toStar Wars, it’s Mark Hamill. The actor brought the main character of the Original Trilogy, Luke Skywalker, to life and returned for the sequel trilogy playing an older version of the character and playing a de-aged version inStar Warstelevision shows.

But Mark Hamill has brought more toStar Warsthan just Luke Skywalker. The actor has stepped up in other roles throughout the entire saga. Some have been cameos while others have been a bit bigger, but Luke Skywalker always brings his best to the franchise.
5Darth Bane - The Clone Wars
The Dark Side of the Force seduced Mark Hamill in the popularStar Wars: The Clone Warsanimated series. Hamill voices the ancient Sith LordDarth Banewho lived thousands of years before the start of the Clone Wars. He appears to Master Yoda in a vision during the final episode of the sixth season of the series.
In the series, Yoda enters Darth Bane’s tomb on the ancient Sith planet of Moraband. Darth Bane tried to tempt Yoda to the Dark Side by promising immortality. Yoda eventually expels Darth Bane from the tomb. This appearance is important as Darth Bane is the only known survivor of the Jedi-Sith War and is known for creating the Sith rule of two which becomes an important plot point in the prequel trilogy. It’s also an interesting twist for fans to see a Mark Hamill character have this different relationship with the Jedi Master.

4Dobbu Scay - The Last Jedi
While the casino scene inStar Wars: The Last Jediis certainly divisive, one of the highlights is the appearance of another character voiced by Mark Hamill. TheStar Warsveteran voices Dobbu Scay, a drunken gambler. Dobbu Scay is the alien who thinks BB-8 is a gambling machine and slides coins into his slots.

Dobbu Scay also holds a unique distinction for Mark Hamill’s voice work. Channeling his inner Andy Serkis, Hamill wore a full-motion capture suit to take part in the character’s physical filming. He acted next to a giant medicine ball to make these scenes for Dobbu and BB-8. This character allowed Hamill to demonstrate his wide range of voice acting skills and presented a completely different character from how Luke Skywalker was behaving in the film.
3Boolio - The Rise of Skywalker
Mark Hamill also returned for the final film of the sequel trilogy to voice the character of Boolio inStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. He makes a brief appearance at the beginning of the film to help the Resistance. Boolio provides the information Finn and Poe need that leads the Resistance to the spy within the First Order.
While Boolio is a useful aide to the good guys, he, unfortunately, meets an untimely fate due to his actions. After being captured by the First Order,Kylo Renpersonally decapitates Boolio. That leads to an interesting dichotomy for fans given what we’ve learned about Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren/Ben Solo inStar Wars:The Last Jedi.

2EV9-29 - The Mandalorian
EV9-29 first appears inStar Wars: Return of the Jedias the droid who questions R2-D2 and C3PO at Jabba’s Palace. In the years after Jabba’s fall, the droid returns as a bartender inThe Mandalorian. Hamill took over voicing the droid in the series where the droid has a conversation with Din Djarin about work on the planet.

EV9-29 only appears in two episodes both behind the bar. In the first episode, the droid tells Din Djarin there is no bounty hunter work only to have a bar patron dispute the fact and offer the Mandalorian a job. The droid then appears in a later episode still trying to serve a distracted customer a drink. Given howStar Warslikes to go back and insert newer versions of classic characters (see Anakin Skywalker’s Force Ghost), it wouldn’t be surprising if Mark Hamill’s version of EV9-29 finds its way intoStar Wars: Return of the Jedi.
1Additional Voices - The Force Awakens, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Solo: A Star Wars Story
Following Mark Hamill’s appearance as a de-agedLuke SkywalkerinThe Mandalorianseason two finale, Mark Hamill dropped a big Easter egg forStar Warsfans. The actor revealed that he had actually appeared as other characters in every theatrically releasedStar Warsfilm since Disney acquired the rights to the franchise.
None of his character names have been revealed, but Mark Hamill is credited under a pseudonym as additional voices in threeStar Warsproperties:Star Wars: The Force Awakens,Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Hamill is actually credited as William M. Patrick, a combination of the first names of his older and younger brothers, according to Hamill, himself. While Luke Skywalker does not have any lines inThe Force Awakens, the additional voice credit means Mark Hamill does. With so many otherStar Warstitles announced, it will be interesting to see if he appears as any other characters in any future properties.
