According to the PlayStation Blog, pre-orders are now open forPS5’s Deep Earth Collection, a set of new colors for DualSense controllers and console covers. This offer will be available for gamers located in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Portugal via the PlayStation store and a few select retailers. Some global markets will also carry the pre-orders in a limited capacity on the same day. The available colors for both the controller and cover pre-orders are Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver. As mentioned in the report, the Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue will be released first on November 3, while the Sterling Silver will launch on January 26.

The new colors look simple but sleek. It’s an arguably good look with a metallic sheen, and not too over-the-top like some other designs. It’s not as artistic as the previously releasedLeBron James PS5 custom controller and cover, or even the Japan-exclusive limited editionFinal Fantasy 16designs, but they do provide a more natural look for the console and its accessories.

These selections are just a small chunk of the available colors that are fully available for customization. However, those still left feeling unsatisfied by the choices have the option to do their own personalization, similar to the player who got acustom PS5 with a photo of his dad. The wonder of the detachable PS5 covers allows gamers to easily do their own designs and art without having to fully disassemble the console. Still, having new official colors for sale is the best option for many as it is the most hassle-free option. Hopefully, Sony will come up with more colors in the future.
