The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimhas managed to maintain its popularity and presence within the gaming community for an entire decade. With so many users actively playingSkyrimto this day, it’s a true testament to the influence the game has had on so many players, to the point where one player manages to reach an impressive milestone that truly speaks to the scope ofSkyrim’soverworld.
One of the most alluring aspects ofSkyrimis its abundance of open-world content. Given howSkyrim’senvironment is springloaded withside questsand additional things for players to do, a lot of fans will often ignore the core story content ofSkyrimentirely. Although, a true testament to the sheer plethora of content there is to do in the game is the fact that a player managed to log over a thousand hours in-game and only unlock a handful of achievements.

AReddituser named tekonus shared a screenshot of how much time they have spent playingSkyrim, and while the whopping 1006.1 hours spent in-game is certainly breathtaking, the fact that they have only unlocked seventeen out of the seventy-five in-game achievements truly speaks to how much there is to do and see withinSkyrim.
For the most part,Skyrim’sachievementstypically pertain to story events that occur within the game, as well as certain guild questlines, such as the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood. However, a surprising number of achievements can be gained by simply playing the game for a significant period of time, which the user obviously has. These achievements include leveling up a certain number of times or absorbing Dragon souls.
Then again, there’s also a lot of reasons as to why the user has unlocked so few achievements. It’s possible that the user simply kept making new player characters withinSkyrimand just starting the game from scratch. Conversely, they also could have downloaded a significant number ofSkyrimmodsand chose to focus on the antics that could arise from the mods. Either way, it’s still an amusing circumstance.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds forThe Elder Scrollsseries moving forward. WhileThe Elder Scrolls 6has been confirmed to be in development, Bethesda has provided little to no additional updates regarding the game’s development. Though, to be fair, considering how ambitious a titleSkyrimis, it’s possible that Bethesda is just making sure there’s a substantial amount of content to show off beforehand.
