Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeanceis a difficult game on any difficulty. While a lot of the game’s mechanics offer solutions to the difficult boss fights, players will still need to level up and increase their stats to either deal enough damage or survive the powerful incoming attacks.
XP earned from defeating demons scales based on the Nahobino or his demon’s level, making it more difficult to farm weaker demons in order to get stronger, but rewarding players for always challenging the next bigger demon. Players also can get rare items called Gospels and Grimoires to instantlylevel up the Nahobino or his demonsrespectively.
Both Gospels and Grimoires have been changed from the original game, and now level up the Nahobino or demon upon being used.
How To Farm Gospels In Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance
Gospels are dropped by Kushi Mitamas, which are the gray Mitamas. These are the rarest species of Mitama, and players will not find these often throughout the game, so defeat them quickly anytime one is seen. While Gospels can be the reward for a few later game subquests, they will most often be found bydefeating Kushi Mitama, which can be found by the navigator.
Points of interest found by your navigator have achance of spawning demons, with these spawns often being Mitama. Make sure you always have some Spyglasses on hand to identify their weaknesses and defeat them easily. Gospels give the Nahobino enough XP to level up to the next level, but only that exact amount. Because of this, it is best to only use a Gospel right after leveling up, to get the most XP out of the item. Unlike your demons, players canrespec the Nahobinoto choose a new build.
How To Farm Grimoires In Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance
Grimoires are much like Gospels but for demons. They give XP in the same way and are much more common than Gospels.Grimoires are dropped from Ara Mitamas, which are the red species of Mitama. Ara Mitama will tend to drop multiple Grimoires at once and are also most commonly found by investigating points of interest from the navigator. In some rare cases, Ara Mitama will spawn naturally in theoverworld and can be attackedlike any other demon.
Players can increase the spawn rates of both types of Mitama by purchasing the Mitama - Dance Of XP and increasing their spawn rate in the system menu. Toggling this on will increase the spawn rates of both Kushi Mitama and Ara Mitama, with Kushi Mitama still being rarer.
