After the unfortunate incident involving the bankruptcy of Telltale Games and the company firing hundreds of its employees, it seemed as if there was no future for any Telltale IP. However, following the announcementWolf Among Us 2a recent leak has come up regarding the continuation ofTales from the Borderlands.
Tales from the Borderlandsis an episodic, interactive storytelling game released by Telltale Games back in November of 2014. Despite the stark difference in game design compared to the series that it was based on,Tales from the Borderlandsreceived a massive amount of success and developed a loyal following of fans. Though, the future of the series has been left uncertain ever since Telltale Games' fired the majority of its workforce.

According to a recent report from a reliable leaker, the second season ofTales from the Borderlandsis currently in development. A solid time frame for when the game might be released was not mentioned, however, it seems like it will still take a couple of years before the game is officially announced.
This leak came as a surprise to many fans of the series, and with it, a great deal of excitement. Ever sincethe closure and apparent revival of Telltale Games, many fans are confused as to what the future of the company is, and by extension what their games will be.
Hopefully, this news actually does turn out to be true. In terms of the various Telltale series,Tales from the Borderlandsis considered one of the more underrated. Not to mention the amount of interest the series has received not just by fans, but by industry professionals as well. In fact,one of the lead writers onBorderlands 3is interested in working on the second season ofTales from the Borderlands.
Having said all this, it does seem rather hard to believe that Telltale Games is in the position to deliver in terms of any of these projects. Less than a year ago, Steam users weredisallowed from purchasingTales from the Borderlandson Steamdue to the closure of Telltale Games. On top of this, there has not been any news in terms ofWolf Among Us 2, except for the fact that it exists and is in development. Thus, the question remains, will Telltale Games be able to meet the expectations of fans after so much misfortune? The gaming community will just have to wait and see.
