InRise of the Ronin, players will often have to make some difficult choices. In the prologue itself, they will have to decide which Blade Twin dies and who survives. This pattern of making tough decisions is repeated, and many of them even affect the story in the long run.
As players begin progressingthrough the main story, they will eventually reach a point where they have to take down Gonzo, the chief of bandits, as a part of Curtain Falls, Curtain Rises. In order to start the mission, players will have to talk to the Eccentric Ronin. After defeating Gonzo,Rise of the Roninplayerswill be asked to make a decision—spare or kill him.
Should You Kill Or Spare Gonzo In Rise of the Ronin
The best choice is to spare Gonzo. If players do decide to kill Gonzo, they will get lots of rewards immediately, which include the following:

Why You Should Spare Gonzo In Rise Of The Ronin
Ifyou spare Gonzo, he will appear again in The Bad Bunch side quest. For that, players will need to complete a visit to the Pleasure District and then meetSakamoto at the Longhouse. Next, open the map, and you will see a new marker exactly here.
Go to the location where you will find a man. Talk to him and opt to help him out. Head to the villain’s location. Here, you meet Gonzo for the second time.
Players will have to choose once again whether tokill Gonzo or team up with him. Choose the latter, and then make your way to the location of the Suspicious Men. Kill all of them in combat. After successfully beating them,Gonzo will join you as an ally. After improving theirbond with Gonzo, players will eventually obtain almost all the rewards that they could by killing Gonzo.
Yes. You canstill complete the side quest if you decide to kill Gonzo. You will have to fight an NPC and a few more enemies. The rewards are identical, so there is no need to be worried. However, the NPC will not join you as an ally.
It is advised to save your game in a separate slot before undertaking a side quest or progressing through the main quest.
