In some recent tweets, AestheticGamer teased that they wouldn’t be revealing too much aboutResident Evil 8as to avoid spoiling it for fans, but they did say that it is the “most gruesomeREyet.” When pressed for more information, AestheticGamer followed up that cryptic tease by saying thatResident Evil 8will have “some of the most disturbing enemy designs” in the history of theResident Evilfranchise. And when one considers some of the terrifyingResident Evilmonsters that have been featured in the games over the years, that’s quite the claim.

AestheticGamer also teased some other information aboutResident Evil 8, suggesting that the villain may be someone named Alan, and that the game will have aredesigned Chris Redfieldas has been previously rumored. Fans should take this information with a grain of salt, as they should any video game leaks, but AestheticGamer has been a reliable source forResident Evilnews in the past.
For those that haven’t been following theResident Evil 8leaks too closely, the game is supposedly going to be quite the departure from series norms. Reports indicate thatResident Evil 8will be first-person, similarly toResident Evil 7, and that it will feature all kinds of enemy types that aren’t usually seen in theREfranchise. It remains to be seen how fans will respond to these changes, but AestheticGamer has expressed their confidence in the game.
As for whenResident Evilfans will be able to seeRE8in action, that remains to be seen. AestheticGamer has teased that the game was supposed to be revealed around this time prior to the coronavirus pandemic, so a reveal could potentially come any day now. It’s possible thatResident Evil 8will be revealed as part of theongoing Summer Game Fest events, though that remains to be seen.
In the meantime, AestheticGamer also claimed thatResident Evil 8is in development for current- and next-gen consoles, so perhaps aResident Evil 8reveal will take place alongside the rumoredPS5 reveal in June.
