Halfway throughResident Evil 7’sNot A Hero DLC, players will race against the clock to deactivate a bomb affixed to the arm of series protagonist, Chris Redfield. To remove this bomb, players will have to fight their way through one of the toughest enemies in the game while searching for canisters of liquid nitrogen.

Back to the Mining Work Area

After attempting to save the third soldier inResident Evil 7’sNot a Hero DLC, Chris will get a call from Lucas during which Lucas states there will soon be another dead soldier, and activates the bomb on Chris’s arm. Players will now have ten minutes to make their way back to the mining work area to find barrels of liquid nitrogen to remove the bomb. Climb up the ladder and head back towards the main tunnel. The tunnels will be flooded with smaller molded that can be dispatched quickly, however, it is wise toconserve ammo at this pointand try to evade and run past enemies as much as possible. If trapped, players can use neurotoxin bombs on larger groups or in smaller tunnels to temporarily freeze the molded in place.

Once back in the main tunnel, players will want to head back toward the mining work area through the red door. Dispatch the few molded that spawn here, and head towards the elevator. As the elevator stops and players head down the tunnel towards the work area, a white molded will begin advancing. Players can dispatch this enemy, however, will find the room at the endof the tunnel overrun with molded- a full fight here will cost ammo and time.

Players can skip this fight by using a neurotoxin grenade on the white molded in the tunnel to freeze it in place, and then follow the tracks to the immediate right when entering the work area. These tracks will lead to a path that ramps down around the right edge of the room, completely avoiding the molded enemies. At the end of the track, players will take the ramp up to the left and head straight to the painted door, and use the clown key.

Once through the clown door, grab the incendiary grenades on the crate, turn quickly to the right, and run past the approaching white molded. Players can use a neurotoxin grenade if necessary, however, the white molded will stop chasing players once they go through the door at the end of the tunnel. Players will want toget prepared for a grueling fight, breaking open all crates in the area. Players can also find shotgun shells on the metal support to their left as they enter, and the front hood of the truck in the center of the room. Two grenades can be found on the back bumper of the big truck, and an extra med injector can be grabbed from under the seat in the smaller truck.

Fighting the Big White Molded

While players are exploring this room, the A-001 white molded will spawn, and players will need to eliminate this threat to move forward. This molded is capable of spitting bile and spawning white molded alpha parasites, so players will want to keep their distance and use the big truck as a shield while waiting for an opportunity to attack. Using anti-regeneration pistol rounds (RAMROD) can stagger the monster, making it temporarily vulnerable to attacks.

Players should try to deal as much damage as possible during these vulnerable periods to ensure they can take down the creature before the timer hits zero. Additionally, the incendiary grenades are highly effectiveat destroying the swarms of parasites, when spawned. If players run completely out of ammo, Chris’s combat knife does output quite a bit of damage, however, puts players in danger of being hurt significantly or even killed instantly by the toxic bile of the white molded.

When the big white molded is finally down, run to the front of the big truck and interact with the green crate covered in yellow tape. Chris will push the crate over, revealing the liquid nitrogen containers. Interact with the containers before the timer hits zero, and Chris will stick his hand into the liquid nitrogen and remove the now-frozen death trap.
