When it comes to weapons in theResident Evil 4remake, there are none more powerful than the rocket launcher, and it appears as though it’s possible to trick the game into thinking Leon has plenty of projectiles for it. Over the decades,Capcom has released many games and franchises, a lot of which have become classics in the industry. However, when it comes to survival horror, the developer’sResident Evilseries stands head and shoulders above the rest.Since the remake of the fourth entry came out a few weeks ago, many have been keen to find ways of exploiting the game, possibly to help them get through more difficult parts easier. For example, there is atrick inResident Evil 4that makes Chapter 15 easier, as well as one that ends the village fight section much earlier. However, there are also some glitches that fans should be looking out for, as they could prove useful.RELATED:Resident Evil 4 Hides Interesting Details About Hunnigan’s LocationAs spotted by The Gamer, Twitter user and Twitch streamer Regole has posted a clip fromResident Evil 4that could easily have been just a regular playthrough. However, it appears as though they’ve happened upon a weapon bug that makes Leon very deadly. During the clip, which takes place when Ashley and the former rookie cop are being bombarded with flaming boulders, something occurs after Leon is injured by fire that somehow makes the game think he’s switched from his rocket launcher to his pistol. In doing so, the remake gets confused and thinks the launcher is using pistol ammo, which means Regole had a lot more projectiles to play around with.

It’s not quite clear how this glitch came about, or whether it works in other parts of the game. It’s also possible that Capcom will end up patching this out, so anyone interested in trying it out should do so sooner rather than later. While there is already arocket launcher with infinite ammo in theResident Evil 4remake, it can only be acquired after a first playthrough. It also costs 2,000,000 Pesetas, so Regone’s exploit might be a nice alternative for now, if it works consistently.

Thereviews forResident Evil 4have been largely glowing, with praise going to the remake having a nice balance between nostalgia and fresh ideas. It may be slightly darker than its 2005 predecessor, but the success of the recent reimagining is proof that the world is always wanting moreRE.

Resident Evil 4is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
