Rockstar Games has been associated with creating massive sandbox worlds where players can do whatever they want and the world will react to them. Start shooting at people inGTA, and eventually, players get the police to arrive. Now, 3 years after launch, a player has discovered a new NPC reaction inRed Dead Redemption 2.
Posted on theRed Dead Redemptionsubreddit, a user by the name of TheElusiveMan posted captured gameplay fromRed Dead Redemption 2that was initially seemingly innocuous. In fact, the NPC’s reaction was triggered by nothing more than the player barely running and bumping into a female NPC.

The game capture starts with an NPC greeting the player. From there, the player attempts to enter a locked house, while a separate female NPC walks close by. After giving up on entering the home, the player takes off in a direction, evidently pushing over the female character. The female character gathers herself, walks directly up to the player, and smacks him across the face. The entireinteraction between the player and the NPCis capped off with some great back and forth between the two characters.
The responses to the post quickly became curious and wondered if the player could die if their health was low enough. While no video had been posted of said event, many users quickly confirmed that a smack could, in fact, kill the player if their health was sufficiently depleted. This led to a number of comments displaying"F" to pay respects.
