Although Pokimane is one of the most-watched Twitch streamers for gaming on the platform, she also has a diverse array of interests that help further her brand. She has a YouTube channel dedicated to ASMR videos, and she has shown an interest in encouraging voters by participating in anAmong Usstream withU.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. This time Pokimane has decided to help out some fellowAmong Usstreamers by pitching in some of her earnings to help with a custom-creationAmong Usmap.
This definitely isn’t the first time that Pokimane has donated money to a good cause.Pokimane donated money to some random Twitch streamersin September of last year in an effort to put some positive vibes on the platform following sexual assault allegations against several streamers. Her latest venture is part of an effort to help outAmong Usstreamer friends Hafu and 5up. TheAmong Uscommunity has been waiting on the new Airship map to come to the game, but Hafu and 5up’s custom map might just arrive first.

On a trainwreckstvTwitchstream, Pokimane took a moment to say “I actually have some exciting news,” and referenced the customAmong Usmap by Hafu and 5up. Pokimane says of the map, “it’s going to come out before the new map” and “[i]t’s going to be cooler, it’s going to be better, it’s going to be awesome. Period.” Pokimane didn’t provide any details as to what the map may look like or if it will have unique tasks and other content, but she did say she is “helping fund” it and seems excited about the possibilities.
Hafu is a Twitch streamer who is also a professionalWorld of WarcraftandHearthstoneplayer. She jumped into streamingAmong Usas its popularity rose last year, and at one point was the second most-viewed female streamer behind Valkyrae. 5up is primarily a YouTube streamer whose channel has also grown due toAmong Uscontent. 5up is similar tofaceless streamer Corpse Husbandand prefers not to reveal his face while streaming for privacy reasons. Neither Hafu or 5up are known for creating custom content for games but it will be interesting to see what they come up with.
The most recentAmong Usupdate fixed bugs on mobile devicesbut fans are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Airship map that has been teased since December of last year. So farAmong Usdeveloper InnerSloth hasn’t revealed an exact release date for the map. If Hafu and 5up’s map does come out before Airship, it could satiate fans until Airship’s release if it doesn’t become a hit all on its own.
