Known as the Mouse Pokemon, Pikachu is the latest Seven-Star Tera Raid boss to appear inPokemon Scarlet and Violet. Though this Pikachu is a repeat of a raid from the 2023 edition of Pokemon Day, Pikachu the Unrivaled is a Tera-Water boss immune to Electric attacks due to its Lightning Rod ability. Ergo,Pikachu the Unrivaled’s only weaknessis Grass-type attacks such as Solar Beam and Leaf Blade. Pikachu the Unrivaled starts the battle with a full raid shield and the moves Rain Dance and Surf in order. The raid boss Pokemon also holds a Light Ball to boost the power of its Thunder, Play Rough, and Iron Tail attacks.

Whilemost Grass Pokemoncan easily beat Pikachu the Unrivaled, onePokemon Scarlet and Violetplayer shared a clever method to take down the returning Seven-Star Tera Raid boss. A Redditor named Hoopawho shared a sped-up video of their effort on the r/pokemonscarletviolet subreddit. Dubbed the “Flower Power” strategy, Hoopawho used the Sunflower Pokemon called Sunflora as the main damage dealer of their team, alongside a Torkoal, an Arboliva, and a Toedscruel. While Fire Pokemon like Torkoal are at a disadvantage against Water-type attacks, the one used by Hoopawho’s crew served in a supporting role alongside Arboliva and Toedscruel. While the fight took four turns to finish, Hoopawho shared the steps they took to ensure a quick victory.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Player Shares Quick Way To Beat Pikachu Raid

On the first turn, Toedscruel used Knock Off to removePikachu’s Light Balland make thePokemon Scarlet and Violetboss easier to manage. Upon returning to the fight after fainting, Torkoal’s Drought ability caused the weather to change to sunlight. Torkoal then used Defense Cheer, Attack Cheer, and Helping Hand to bolster the party, while Arboliva kept Sunflora healed with the use of Pollen Puff. Toedscruel used Acid Spray three times to lower Pikachu’s special defense, while Sunflora used Growth to boost its power further. On the fourth turn, Hoopawho’s Pokemon team struck fast, as Sunflora used Solar Beam to quickly defeat Pikachu.

The return of Pikachu the Unrivaled is just the first of threesummer Tera raid battles inPokemon Scarlet and Violet. With Dondozo and Dragonite waiting in the wings, it remains to be seen what strategies players will develop.
