The 1.3.2 update forPokemon Scarlet and Violetstarted rolling out on June 28, introducing some new tweaks to Game Freak’s hit RPGs. The patch arrived just over a month sincePokemon Scarlet and Violetwere updated to version 1.3.1.The latest mainlinePokemongames received widespread praise for their transition to open-world gameplay and an impressive degree of player freedom enabled by that design shift. However,Scarlet and Violetare also the lowest-rated mainlinePokemongames, not least because of massive technical issues they were exhibiting at launch. While that changelog doesn’t elaborate on the matter, the Switch patch notes relayed by Serebii do, revealing that the latest version ofPokemonScarlet and Violetalso tweaks the Illuminate ability, a move used for raising the encounter rate of wild Pokemon. Illuminate had no battle effect in the games prior to this update, but can now also be used for preventing a given creature’s accuracy from being lowered. Finally, the patch notes confirm that additional bug fixes are part of the package.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Update 1.3.2 Patch Notes
Since this update is largely geared toward live competitions, downloading it is a requirement for usingPokemon Scarlet and Violetonline multiplayer featuressuch as tournaments and trading. The patch itself rolled out a week after Game Freak released a hotfix that resolved a previously reported issue causing Gimmighoul raids to reward players with a multitude of items. That particular update did not change the games' version number.
IfPokemon Sword and Shieldare any indication,Scarlet and Violetplayers can expect Game Freak to continue putting out updates for its latest games until at least early 2024. The developer’s recent support track record also suggests that the next major update forPokemon Scarlet and Violetis likely to release no later than August. It’s plausible that will be the final patch preceding the release of The Teal Mask, the first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion.
The June 21 Nintendo Direct revealed plenty ofnew details about thisPokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC, but without elaborating on its vague launch window. The original February announcement of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero revealed that The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk will release in Q3 and Q4, respectively.
