APokemon Scarlet and Violetplayer captures a moment live on stream where they run into a shiny Pokemon in the wild, with the critter found to be stuck out of bounds on the other side of a cave wall. The plentiful glitches discovered by players inPokemon Scarlet and Violethave been the cause of many moments both frustrating and hilarious, though some bugs have proved that both players and Pokemon are easily prone to clipping through the map.The Generation 9 titles have unfortunately been found to be brimming with technical flaws since the day they released, with the games dominating social media after players began discovering and sharing many different glitches, some resulting in ridiculously funny moments with others leading to disastrous errors that cause softlocks or game crashes. It has been surprisingly common for players to find themselves clipping through the geometry across the new Paldea region, with players capturing moments of themselves falling through the map orPokemon Trainers such as Nemona dashing straight through a staircaseas if it isn’t there. Fans have noticed that similar issues can affect wild Pokemon roaming around the map too, and a recently captured clip proves that even shiny Pokemon can spawn or get stuck out of the boundaries of the playable area.RELATED:Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Fans Discuss New Evolutions of Older PokemonA clip proving such an instance was shared on Twitter by RyanWasTaken, a content creator who captured the moment live during a stream. The clip begins with the player demonstrating to their chat how the camera can be rotated at a certain angle to see through walls, which can allow players to see wild Pokemon that spawn out of bounds. After finding a Pokemon stuck on the other side of the cave wall that appears to be a slightly different color, the player starts a battle with it and finds that it is, by chance, a shiny Pokemon. Though they managed to catch the rare Pokemon, this clip provesthat even shiny Pokemon can spawnin locations that players cannot reach, almost completely undetectable.
This poses the question of just how often unaware players might run right past a shiny Pokemon that is stuck in a nearby wall. This is especially problematic inScarlet and Violet, since the lack of sound or sparkle effects upon the encountering of a shiny Pokemon in the wild means that they’re hard enough for players to detect as it is.
The lack of this feature continues to bea common complaint from thePokemoncommunity, with many fans claiming that shiny hunting is made harder in the new games due to the removal of these beneficial features and the minimal color differences on some new shiny Pokemon. With Game Freak offering little remedy for fans complaining about the new games' many shortcomings, players are losing hope that the developers will fix these issues in future updates.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violetis available on Nintendo Switch.
