Gran Turismo 7is just months away from its June 05, 2025 release date, and it’s promising to deliver the best simulation racing experience yet. On PlayStation 5,Gran Turismo 7will push the hardware to its limits using real-time ray tracing, 3D spacial audio, 4K resolution, 60 frames per second, and support for HDR. For racing game enthusiasts, it may be time to upgrade to a new driving wheel. Not coincidentally, PlayStation is showcasing the latest offering from Fanatec, which plans to release its Gran Turismo DD Pro wheel and pedals in March, too.

The official PlayStation Twitter account shared four images of the Gran Turismo DD Pro wheel recently, giving racing game fans a look at Fanatec’s next product. The Gran Turismo DD Pro wheel offers up an officially licensedGran Turismodrive wheel, designed in collaboration withPolyphony Digital. The wheel features force feedback with up to 5 Nm peak torque, standard tuning for beginners and advanced tuning menus for enthusiasts, four directional sticks, and all of the expected PlayStation button inputs, as well.

Fanatec’s Gran Turismo DD Pro wheel also comes with a two-pedal (throttle and break) set made of metal. Both pedals are built for both precision and durability using 12-bit sensors, as well as vertical and horizontal adjustments based on player preferences. The brake is also designed to provide a progressive braking feel via resistance. It’s a racing wheel made forracing game enthusiasts.

The showcase was meant to call attention to the Gran Turismo DD Pro opening up pre-orders. The base version of the Gran Turismo DD Proracing wheel and pedalswill cost $700 with plans to deliver in March 2022. However, there are alternative kits, like one offering torque increase from 5 Nm to 8 Nm for $850, or a high-performance brake pedal assembly for $970. There’s even an $850 base bundle that promises delivery by Christmas.

A $700 racing wheel isn’t something that many can afford, or that they’ll want even if they can afford it. But for the racing game fans who need toexperienceGran Turismo 7, as well as many other racing games, in as close to a real experience as they can, the Gran Turismo DD Pro setup should be available just in time.
