Trophies were first introduced in a PlayStation 3 firmware update in 2008, but only a few titles would support the feature for the remainder of the year. Just one year later, Sony Interactive Entertainment made trophies a requirement for new games entering certification. The trophy system would receive a major overhaul nearthe official launch date of PlayStation 5, expanding the max level and adjusting trophy levels for all players connected to PlayStation Network. PlayStation fan Valentari shared an incredible art piece to celebrate earning a total of 100 platinum trophies. Valentari’s wife created the piece by compiling official artwork of characters from all 100 games into a mural. Some of these characters include Cloud fromFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, Ichiban Kasuga fromYakuza: Like a Dragon, and Aloy fromHorizon Zero Dawn. The coveted platinum trophy may be seen in the middle of the mural, surrounded by characters in nearly every direction. Additionally, each corner of the mural represents the 1st, 50th, 51st, and 100th platinum trophy acquired by Valentari.
