The Gorosei went onto explain that Nika was a legendary warrior in the past whose existence even the World Government feared. Nika likely played a major role in the events of the Void Century and fans will certainly find out more about that when the story tackles the events in more detail. He was revered all over the world and did some incredible things. Even after returning through Luffy, he continues to do incredible things today as well.
5Freed Slaves
In the past, Nika is known to have been an active figure, likelyduring the Void Centurywhere he fought against the mighty force trying to wipe out the Ancient Kingdom. During this time, Nika had established himself as an entity that would free slaves. The people of the world were desperately in need of salvation and it was none other than Nika who came to their aid.
It is believed that in olden times, slaves used to pray for a god who would strike down their oppressors and save them. Eventually, Nika did just that and this legend was born. Centuries later, it was passed down among other slaves and that is where Who’s Who heard of this. Surprisingly, he started praying to Nika as well and, eventually, found his way out of the prison that he was held in. Whether it was praying to Nika that helped him or not remains to be seen, however, it goes without saying that Nika has made an impression on the history of the world ofOne Piece.

4Brought Smiles To Everyone
Nika is also known to be one ofthe most joyful peoplein the world ofOne Piece.During the Void Century, he went on from place to place freeing slaves from oppression and, at the same time, bringing smiles to the faces of people. This exact reason was why Nika came to be loved so much. In fact, Nika himself is a character who laughs quite a lot. Fans saw this in the silhouette that appeared when who’s who was fighting against Jinbe.
Later, when Luffy awakened his Nika state during the fight against Kaido, fans could see him laughing quite a lot. This ability of his was also contagious as whenever he went close to the Live Floor, those in his surroundings were also affected by him. As such, Nika has a power that allows him to make others laugh both literally and spiritually by liberating them from their oppression.

3Fought The 20 Kings
Nika, as already established, was a prominent figure during the Void Century. It was during this time that the 20 Kings allied to fightagainst the Ancient Kingdom, which they decided to be their common enemy. Nika most certainly fought on the side of the Ancient Kingdom and could possibly even have been its leader. Nika fought against the 20 Kings and while he may not have been able to defeat them, he certainly left his mark.

This is evident from the fact that the World Government has been trying to procure the Gomu Gomu no Mi for centuries and fear the second coming of Nika. They even tried to anger Kaido if it meant that Nika did not return during the Wano arc. That in itself is proof enough that Nika did lasting damage to the World Government and that he fought against the 20 Kings long ago.
2Defeated Kaido
During the Wano arc ofOne Piece, Nika finally returned after 800 years. This was shortly after Kaido struck down Luffy due to the intervention of Guernica, one of the members of CP0. Following this blow, Luffy was supposed to have died as his heart stopped beating. Somehow, his Devil Fruit awakened and thus, he was able to tap into the transformation known as Gear 5th. This transformation is when Luffy ascends to a whole new level and gains the power of Nika in its entirety.
It is the awakening of his Devil Fruit that makes him truly dangerous and fans got a full display of that during the climax of Onigashima. With its powers, Luffy was able to defeat Kaido in a 1v1 battle. Eventually, with his entire power, he was able to strike down the legendary beast with a bounty of 4.6 billion berries, which is nothing short of staggering and one of the biggest things that Nika has ever done.

1Freed Land Of Wano
Just as Oden predicted, Nika returned towards the end of the Wano Country arc and ended the tyranny of Kaido and Orochi over the land of Wano. Luffy led a raid on Onigashima and defeated both the serpent and the ogre with the help of many allies. He ended up defeating Kaido by himself while Orochi was vanquished by Oden’s loyal retainers. Following the conclusion of the war, people attributed the liberation of Wano to a mysterious person named Nika.
So far, the biggest achievement of Luffy as Nika is liberating the land of Wano, however, this is just the beginning for his character. From here onwards, Luffy will continue to grow even further and he will eventually shoulder the burden of 800 years on his shoulders and challenge the World Nobles in an attempt to turn the world upside down.
