Luffy’s goofiness in is not new amongthe Straw Hat crew, but the crew respects him as their captain and leader. In this episode, after the disaster Luffy and his crew caused in Whole Cake Island, the World Government released a new bounty. However, as the other Straw Hat members get bewildered by the increase in their bounty, the Straw Hat captain looks sad and dejected in this scene.

What makes this epsiode funny is how he points out that his bounty has decreased until Brooks became shocked at the sight of Luffy’s bounty. Luffy misread a few zeros at the back, a humorous moment considering how the increment in bounty will put a high target on the crew’s back.

Episode 74

At Little Garden, the Straw Hat pirates meet Mr 3 of Baroque Work, who possesses the Wax-Wax fruit ability, which allows him to manipulate and mold wax. During the encounter, Zoro and Nami get caught in Mr 3’s giant wax statue, which prevents their movement. In this helpless situation, Zoro and Nami have to rely on Luffy to win the fight as they race against time before the wax sucks life out of them. Zoro tries to cut off his legs to free himself as Nami frantically cries for help.

The comedic element arises whenZoro changes from his stoic and serious demeanorin a critical situation to trying to maintain a legendary pose. As Nami cries and shouts for help, Zoro’s response is as good as a statue since all hope seems lost.

4The Man Called A Genius! Hogback Appears!

Episode 340

During the Straw Hatsadventure on Thriller Bark, they met many bizarre creatures resulting from the handwork of Gecko Moria. During one of the bizarre events that permeates the arc, Luffy sets sight on a zombie that digs out of his grave in this episode. Instead of engaging in a battle as expected of Luffy, he decides to push him back inside his grave, where the same zombie jumps back at him.

In this episode, the crew is shocked at his ignorance and shouts almost at the same time that “it is a zombie” and not a dead man like Luffy thinks. The hilarious moment comes from how Luffy treated the situation with a calm demeanor. This unexpected and lighthearted approach to dealing with a zombie adds a touch of humor to the intense and spooky atmosphere of Thriller Bark, showcasingLuffy’s whimsical personality.

Being the ladies' man, Sanji becomes frustrated and embarrassed by the mishap, a face that contrasts his stylish personality. In this episode, the inaccurate wanted poster face also becomes a running joke among the Straw Hat Pirates, especially with Zoro. Also, this mistaken face identity eventually becomes a nice setup as how the crew did not find out about Sanji’s family secrets earlier in the series.

Episode 200

Generally, the G-arc came with many funny episodes forOne Piecefans. One of the funniest episodes in the arc is Sanji’s attempt to break Zoro and Usopp out of prison. While Luffy is at its weakest with a hold on the sea prism cell, Sanji has no choice but to trust Usopp with their loots at the Skypeia arc. Usopp gave Sanji the Impact dial to blow them out of the Marine prison, which turned out to be a voice dial with a recording of Usopp’s voice.

The tense moment in the episode is how the Marines who are there to arrest Luffy and Sanji await their dramatic plan to get out of the perilous situation. With the failed attempt on the first impact dial, Usopp later opted for the second dial in his other pocket, which Luffy had stored with his fart, which stunk up the place. This episode also features the legendary impersonation of Major Shepherd as Captain Condriano.
