Like most MMOs available nowadays, one of the most important tasks inOnce Humanis leveling up. Luckily,Once Humangives players plenty of opportunities for leveling up, with a huge variety of tasks and methods available to do so.
Another fortunate aspect ofOnce Humanis that dedicated players can start grinding out levels almost immediately once they start the game and create a character. Whether it’sa brand-new player following a beginner’s guideand trying to catch up with their squad or a veteran player trying to level up a new character,Once Humanhas plenty of ways for players to level up new characters. Here are some of the best.

10Mining Resources
Two Birds With One Stone
Once Humanis a survival game, and like most survival games, there are a ton of mundane tasks that players must complete, like chopping down trees and mining gravel from rocks. Every player has to mine and chop quite a bit when they start out, before they can getDigby Boys to automate the process,.
To the delight of survival game fans everywhere,Once Humanawards its players XP for chopping down trees, as well as mining both gravel and ores. While players aren’t going to hit level 10 after ten minutes of chopping trees, being able to earn XP while getting the resources necessary to progress through the beginning portions of a new character is extremely handy.

9Crafting And Smelting
Small But Passive XP
Once Human, being a survival game, allows players to craft weapons, ammo, armor, and more from resources they find. Players can also refine many resources they collect, which is a vital part of the game.Players can farm resources like acidto create weapons and ammo. They can also mine ores and smelt them into more refined materials.
New players are likely to spend a lot of time farming copper and refining it intoCopper Ingots, crafting ammo, and crafting weapons and tools to use for more resource farming. Luckily,Once Humanrewards the players for all of this. Players can set up a smelter to refine all of their ore, head out on an adventure, and come back for free XP and new tools to craft.

8Hunt Animals
Food And Experience
InOnce Human, players need to eat and drink to survive. While players can find food by killing monsters and looting areas on the map, hunting wild animals is another great way to find food.
There are plenty of wild deer in the beginning areas for new characters to farm. Sometimes, players can even encounter herds of deer, which will net a ton of XP with very little effort. Another perk of hunting is being able to cook the food earned from harvesting the hunted animals, especially with the right Memetics unlocked.

7Discover New Places
Rewards For Exploration
New characters are quite literally dropped into the world ofOnce Human, so boundaries are loose from the start. While some areas will be locked, depending on what phase the server is in, there are still plenty of areas for players to explore.
Players can earn XP and level up from running (or riding) around the map completing the main story, taking on side missions, finding fuel for their vehicles, or just checking out all the loot the world has to offer.

6Fighting Monsters
More Bang For The Buck
Killing monsters inOnce Human, like many MMOs and RPGs before it, is one of the fastest ways to grind XP and level up a new character. Of course, the harder the monster, the more XP the player will gain from defeating it.
New players can simply explore the map with a crossbow in hand, taking out any monsters they happen upon while they loot and investigate. The very first crossbow a new player builds will one-shot many of the monsters in the beginning areas, so players do not even have to take much time out of their busy day to pad out their XP.

5Commissions
Limited But Hardy
Weekly commissions are a great way to earn huge chunks of XP at a time inOnce Human. Commissions are basically small side missions that players can assign themselves. The goals are usually things like “defeat X deviants” and “Mine ore X number of times.”
Commissions award plenty of XP, but, depending on where the server’s timeline is, only a limited number of them can be completed until more are unlocked the following week. Fortunately, after completing five weekly commissions, a player is awarded yet another giant chunk of XP.

4Journeys
Passive Side Missions
InOnce Human, players can open up their journey menu by pressing the J key. Journeys are categorical tasks that players can complete for small amounts of XP at a time.
Basically, everything inOnce Humanwill have a related journey category with plenty of tasks for even new characters to complete. What’s nice for players is they do not need to accept any of these tasks; they’ll just passively complete them. Once they’re ready, players can simply open the journey menu and turn in anything they’ve completed.

3Side Missions
Plenty To Choose From
Once Human, like most great RPGs, has a ton of side quests to wander across as players explore the world. These missions appear as blue exclamation marks on the map and can be tracked by right-clicking.
Side missions usually net quite a bit of XP and are available right from the start. They’re also fairly easy and usually around the same areas as the mainline missions, so even new characters can track and complete them.

2Main Missions
Once Humanhas an enthralling story with plenty of missions to complete. If a new player is unsure of what to do next, they can always track and complete the main mission to figure it out as soon as possible.
The main mission inOnce Humanisn’t just good for unlocking new mechanics like the Cradle. It’s also a fantastic way for players to earn XP and level up new characters. It’s very easy to get side tracked with side quests andspending hours farming acid, but completing the main story line is one of the easiest ways to steadily level up a new character without any mundane grinding.

1Challenge The Rift Entity
Boss Farming
Once Humantook plenty of notes from its predecessors in the MMO and Survival RPG genres when they designed bosses that could be repeatedly farmed for extra XP and loot. While the bosses are quite creepy, they aren’t all that tough on novice servers.
If players stay on the main mission and don’t get too distracted, they can find their way to the first Rift Entity in the Monolith of Greed in less than a few hours of play. While the game recommends players be level 10 before taking on the boss, as long as players are prepared withthe proper gear and specializations, they can fight it well before then.
