It is a known fact that theOne Piece Live Action serieshas been a massive success and much of that is down to these small details included in the story that make the fans feel more at home with it. Of course, the Syrup Village arc, which spans across episode three and episode four of theOne Piece Live Actionis no different and also features several of the easter eggs.
10Meshi
When Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew arrive in Syrup Village, they end up recruiting Usopp. Usopp’s character itself is very close to what fans see in the manga. He’s seen running around and lying about pirates coming to the island, which, later on, turns out to be true.
In one of these scenes, a building is seen behind Usopp which reads Meshi. This is the exact same restaurant where Usopp ate with the crew in the source material.

9Glasses For Nami
In theOne Piececanon,Nami is believed to be farsighted. This is a little detail that has not been forgotten in theOne Piece Live Action series.
Nami is seen wearing her glasses in the Syrup Village arc when reading a map. This only adds more depth to the character of Nami and just goes to show that even small details were taken into consideration while creating this masterpiece.

8Nami’s Outfit From Colorspread
Nami’s outfitat the beginning of the Syrup Village Arcis taken from the chapter 28 color spread. In this Colorspread, Nami is seen on a cart with an eggplant in her hand.
Once again, these small details are incredibly fun for the fans to find and they also exist to show that those who created theOne Piece Live Actionwere massive fans of the series themselves.

7Luffy And Zoro Outfits
Luffy and Zoro, on the other hand, are seen wearing outfits from colorspreads as well, however, theirs is different from the color spread that Nami’s outfit was taken from.
Luffy and Zoro have their outfits inspired by the volume 11 cover ofOne Piece. This is an iconic volume cover and shows all the Straw Hat Pirates in quite some style.

6Nami’s Dress
InOne Piece Live Action,Kaya invites the Straw Hat Pirates to dinner. They are also allowed to choose their outfits for this dinner and the Nami ends up going for a very Chinese-inspired outfit.

While one might think that this outfit is unique to the live-action series, it has actually been taken from chapter 32’s cover, which sees Nami wearing this exact same outfit.
5Usopp Eating Dragon
Lies are a big part of Usopp’s character. What is also a big part of his character is the fact that a lot of the times, the things he lies about come true. In the Syrup Village Arc inOne Piece Live Action,Usopp lies about slaying a dragon, sitting and eating its dragon meat over a flame.
This later ends up coming true in Punk Hazard in the manga and the anime, after Zoro slays the dragon created by Vegapunk. The crew end up feasting on its meat before moving on to explore the island.

4Oro Jackson Painting
The Oro Jackson is one of the most iconic ships in the world ofOne Piece. This ship appears in multiple depictions in theOne Piece Live Action series.
One such picture is in the background inside Kaya’s mansion. Although difficult to see, the Oro Jackson is certainly there. As to why that is the case, perhaps, it has something to do with the fact that Syrup Village is a shipyard in the live-action version ofOne Piece.

3Victoria Cindry
In One Piece Live Action’s Syrup Village arc, fans can clearly see a poster that depicts news about the death of the famous stage actress, Victoria Cindry, who fell from the stage and ended up dying.
Later on in the story, in the Thriller Bark arc, Victoria Cindry is revealed to be a side character that Hogback made a zombie out of. The character ends up playing a very important role in the arc and certainly leaves quite an impression.

2Klabautermann
The Klabautermann is a very important aspect of the Going Merry that is brought up in the Skypiea and, later on, the Water Seven Saga ofOne Piece.
Essentially, the Klabautermann is the ship’s soul taking form which is a sign that a ship has been loved dearly. In theOne Piece Live Action series, Luffy immediately feels a strong presence from the Going Merry, which is clearly a nod at the Klabautermann.

1Pandaman
Pandaman is a long-running gag that Oda has incorporated into his story on countless occasions. Essentially, Pandaman is a human with a panda’s head that Oda sneaks in across variousOne Piecemanga panels for the fans to find.
These can be extremely serious scenes or lighthearted scenes. Finding them is always fun for the fans. Pandaman also makes an appearance in Netflix’sOne Piece Live Action seriesin episode 4 in the backgroundwhen Zoro tries to climb out of the wellthat he is thrown in.
One Piece Live Action is available to watch onNetflix.
