When starting out inMinecraft Legends, players are given access to two mobs to use in their army. The stone golem and wood golem provide melee demolition and ranged combat options and are joined halfway through the opening by the Grindstone and Mossy Golems, which provide strong melee attacks and healing, respectively. These units form the backbone of the player’s army for the majority of the opening and some of the early game too.

How to Get Mobs to Help in Minecraft Legends
A day or two after beating the Night Beacon Base and thus completing the game’s opening, players will be shown a cutscene revealing that the various mob homesteads have been taken over by the Piglins. Likely in retaliation for them aiding the player at Night Beacon Base, the Piglins are capturing the mobs and locking them up in cages, so players will need to ride out and rescue them.
Each Homestead Liberation follows the same basic pattern: On arrival, the player will need to fight off the Piglins with their army while opening cages and freeing mobs that can then assist the player further.
Once enough mobs have been freed, players will be shown a short cutscene and be tasked with destroying a Piglin Portal at a nearby encampment with the aid of the mobs they freed.
After theMinecraft Legendsplayer destroys the enemy base, the Allays will build a new structure in the Homestead to symbolize that mob type’s friendship with the player. This also grants players the ability to construct spawners for that mob using the appropriate resources. (Skeletons use Diamonds, Zombies use Redstone, and Creepers use Coal).
Players will need to construct the improvements to allow them to gather those resources before they are able to deploy those mob types freely since they’ll need to be able to store a lot of the relevant resources if they want to keep expanding their army (or replacing recently exploded creepers).
Players will need to defend the Homesteads when the Piglin Horde threatens them with raids, much like villages, if they want to keep the mob’s friendship and thus the ability to build and use their spawners.
