If Insomniac Games plans to continue pulling from Marvel comics and the various Spider-Man films for theMarvel’s Spider-Man 2suit lineup, it has no shortage of suits to choose from. However, one fan made an interesting request that would be different from the outfits featured thus far, as they want to see a character fromThe Boysrepresented inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Instead of featuring a well-known member of the Seven from the hugely successful Amazon series, such as Black Noir, Reddit user skatenbikes has argued that the Web-Weaver costume should be adapted. This suit and character is exclusive toThe Boyscomics, meaning that only fans of the graphic novels will really be aware of it. Still, it is a neat costume, and it would be an exciting, off-the-wall addition if Insomniac could secure the rights to use it.

The Web-Weaver Suit is a Perfect Fit For Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

InThe Boys, Web-Weaver is an obvious spoof of the friendly neighborhood hero. Referred to as “the Thwipster” and confirmed to have an uncle who he cares deeply about, it can be assumed that Web-Weaver has the exact same set of powers as Spidey. Web-Weaver is quite important to the lore ofThe Boysas well, as he is the first superheroBilly Butcherkills and his death leads to the formation of the group.

As shown in the image above, the outfit is clearly similar toSpider-Man’s usual attire, though it does have a few features that make it a bit more distinct. The suit includes more blue, for example, with Web-Weaver having an entirely blue chest and midsection as well as some blue gloves. The suit also features white arm bands that look like webbing, with circular lenses in place of Spidey’s usual eyes. Alongside a small white spider symbol, fangs can be seen on the mask, something fans do not expect to see on a Spider-Man costume. With so many unique details, there is a lot to love about this outfit.

Web-Weaver Could Be Tough To Add To Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

While Web-Weaver is a cool looking costume that would be worth adding because of how different it would look from the othersuits inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, it could be hard to secure the rights. After all,The Boyswas first published by WindStorm before Dynamite Entertainment took control, meaning Insomniac Games and Marvel would have to work with a completely different company in order to borrow the suit. As fun as it would be to see it added, this makes its inclusion highly unlikely.

This same logic could be applied to Spider-Man suits featured in other Marvel games, though there is a better chance of these being brought over since they come from licensed Marvel products.Marvel’s Avengers’ Spider-Man suit is one costume fans have pushed for, withMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ flashy gold outfit quickly becoming another common request.Fortnite’s Zero War costumeis also something that fans have really wanted to see, so perhaps it could make its way to Insomniac’s upcoming game.

Still, none of these suits should be expected, as Insomniac’s struggles to get access to the Raimi suit show how hard it can be to get around red tape. At the very least, Reddit user skatenbikes has made a fun request and started up an interesting discussion about a lesser-known comic book suit. WithMarvel’s Spider-Man’s PC release able to provide many costume mods, perhaps someone will add a version ofThe Boys’Web-Weaver to the first entry in the series.
