For an MMORPG that has existed for nearly three years,Lost Arkhas been fairly consistent in bringing new content to keep its players attached. While the game has just been made available to western players earlier this year,Lost Arkhas actually been a big hit in South Korea since launching in late 2019. Part of the reason is developer Smilegate’s eagerness to keep the game fresh and fun to enjoy by both new and veteran players. Sometimes, Smilegate is even willing to go the extra mile and collaborate with other big names in the gaming industry, likeThe Witcherfor example.

In a summer showcase event held recently, Smilegate announced loads ofnew updates that will be coming toLost Ark, particularly the South Korean version of the game, ranging from a new damager class called Aeromancer to special DLC themed around CD Projekt Red’sThe Witcher 3. The collaboration is expected to arrive at the Korean servers in winter, but it’s unclear for now whether it will also be made available to the western version as well.

Unfortunately, Smilegate didn’t provide any details as to how Geralt’s presence in Arkesia will take form. The announcement was very succinct and only showedLost Ark’slogo next toThe Witcher 3’slogo. However, fans are already speculating what the DLC will be. Some thought it would be very cool to see a brand new Witcher-inspiredclass inLost Ark, while others had a more realistic expectation of a quest line or skins inspired byThe Witcher 3.

This won’t be the first time Geralt of Rivia has appeared outsideThe Witcherseries. Other prominent crossovers includeGeralt being a playable character inMonster Hunter: WorldandSoul Calibur 6, both of which depict him wielding his sword and putting his iconic Witcher signs the way that fans expected. It would come as no surprise ifLost Arkwill also present Geralt in a similar way, as the character is already very recognizable to many players, even those who have never playedThe Witcherseries of games.

For now, though, one can only hope thatthe western version ofLost Arkcontinues to play catch upwith its South Korean counterpart. So far, updates for the western version have been pretty accurate and analogous to the South Korean one, albeit delivered at a slower pace as the game hasn’t been out that long.
