The Sanguinarix is a lamp bearer’s best friend inLords of the Fallen. It’s the game’s main source of renewable healing, and players are going to be healing themselves a lot as they trudge onward.
As useful as the Sanguinarix is, its base form simply isn’t enough to sustain players through the later stages ofLords of the Fallen.Upgrading this holy relic should be a priority for all players, but they’re going to have to explore every nook and cranny in Axiom to do so.

Lords of the Fallen: How to Get More Healing Charges
In order for the Sanguinarix to heal more than three times per Vestige rest, players need to present Saintly Quintessences to Pieta in Skyrest Bridge — they’re going to have to beat her first, though.
Pieta is the first true boss inLords of the Fallen, and she can be a little tough to beat the first time around. As long as players are patient withtheir dodges and parries, she should go down easily.
Once Pieta is no longer hostile, she’ll start helping players by upgrading their Sanguinarix. She can increase the number of the item’s healing charges and improve the healing efficacy of charge, making the Sanguinarix more efficient. Pieta performs this service for free, but things are never truly easy in this game.
Saintly Quintessences are rare and often well-hidden. While the first one is practically handed to the player during the game’s tutorial section, the rest can be easily missed. Most (if not all) of these are found inside the Umbral Realm, which means players will have an even harder time spotting them if they aren’t actively checking the environment with their lamp.
Completing the gamewithout ever upgrading the Sanguinarixis totally doable, though this is often reserved for challenge runs. More healing charges are always welcome, and the fact that Saintly Quintessences also improve the Sanguinarix’s healing strength is a nice change of pace from the usualSoulslikeformula, wherein heal charge and heal efficiency are upgraded using two different items.
If players do end up exhausting all their Sanguinarix charges, there are still alternative ways to regain HP. Certain Radiance spells can heal gratuitous amounts of health, and players can always eat some Briostones, which slowly restore HP over time. These can be bought from Stomund and Gerlinde, and it has a chance to drop from certain enemies.
