June 8 will also play host to the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, kicking off at 12:00pm PT.
The next heavy hitter event will happen on June 9 with the Xbox Games Showcase at 10:00am PT. The showcase will be immediately followed by aCall of Duty: Black Ops 6deep dive. Now, some may be wondering where PlayStation and Nintendo fit in all of this. PlayStation is confirmed to be one of the partners for the Summer Game Fest event on June 7, but it has traditionally hosted its own event around this time of year as well. Nothing official has been announced at the time of this writing, but the latest rumors suggest that aPlayStation State of Play could be taking place as early as this week, with a larger showcase set for September. As far as Nintendo goes, a Nintendo Direct has already been confirmed for June 2024, but its timing has yet to be announced. It’s entirely possible it will take place the same weekend as Summer Game Fest, but it’s also possible it will take place a little later in the month. Historically, the big Nintendo E3-level events have happened last, and so chances are that trend will continue in 2024.
