Summary
Jujutsu Kaisencontinues with great intensity in the manga as the Culling Game arc reaches its climax. The story arc has seen the fans get introduced to quite a lot of interesting characters, all of whom seem to have received new Cursed Techniques.
A lot of characters were turnedinto sorcerers by Kenjakuin order to get them to participate in the Culling Game. This was done because he has a grand plan and a Binding Vow in place. Thanks to that, fans were introduced to quite a lot of powerful characters from both the current era as well as the old one. One of the most interesting characters to be introduced in the Culling Game arc inJujutsu Kaisenis, without a doubt, Fumihiko Takaba.
Who Is Takaba?
Takaba is a very interesting character inJujutsu Kaisen.He has played an exciting role in the story so far and this character possesses quite a lot of potential. When he was introduced inJJK, it was made quite clear that Takaba is a failing comedian who was once a normal human. He did not have any control over his powers and was certainly not a sorcerer. However, Kenjaku changed that when he turned quite a lot of normal people into sorcerers by giving them abilities. Takaba was also one of them and he received powers that are interesting, to say the least.
Being a comedian, Takaba cares about entertainment a lot. In fact, his entire character is based on that and everything about him revolves around his ability to entertain people. He is quite an unpredictable character and one who fans have come to love quite a lot. Since he wants to entertain everyone, Takaba is usually very funny. Even the costume that he picked is the one that made him laugh hysterically once in his life and that just goes to show where his priorities lie.
However, he’s not a character to be underestimated and, as seen recently, he can even stand his own ground againstsomeone as strong as Kenjaku, much to the surprise of all the readers. Takaba has also done well in the Culling Game so far, surviving until this point and even having hidden abilities. If he gains control over his powers, it will spell danger for even the strongest of sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Takaba’s Powers
Takaba is a very strong fighter and even though he has no pointsin the Culling Game so far, he is not one to be underestimated. His powers stem from his goofy nature and his ability to entertain people. This has been noticed in the story already, especially when he rescued Megumi. He was able to hold his own against Hazenoki and even overwhelm him in combat. Even Reggie was very careful around him and Megumi himself noted that he would not want Takaba to be an enemy. When it comes to cursed energy, he certainly does possess quite a lot, although not anywhere close to the large reserves the strongest sorcerers in the story have.
However, that certainly doesn’t imply that he can’t be as strong as the others. Whenever Takaba can entertain people or is entertained himself, he feels a huge surge of energy flowing, and his power multiplies. This has been noticed in the story on several occasions and it’s certainly a very interesting way to power up.
His Cursed Technique is also one of the deadliest in the entire series, but it is not deadly in a direct manner. Rather, it is deadly in what it can and how it goes about it. Essentially, Takaba’s Cursed Technique is called Comedian. This allows him to change reality itself. If Takaba thinks something is sure to be extraordinarily funny, then it becomes a reality and this power is absolutely immense. As is clear from his powers, he can alter reality itself and this power should be on par with some of the strongest Cursed Techniques seen inJJK. In fact, this power is believed to hold enough potential to rival even the likes of Gojo, which paints quite a good picture of how strong Takaba can become if he masters his ability.
Of course, the biggest problem that Takaba faces is that he does not know how to control his Cursed Technique. He isn’t even aware of the power that he currently possesses but if he were to do so, he would certainly become one of the very strongest in the entirety ofJJK. He has already utilized his powers unknowingly on some occasions. It is highly likely that when he clashed against Hazenoki, this power is what allowed him to survive the onslaught of bombs that were directed towards him. Fans have also seen Takaba heal from tremendous damage without evenutilizing Reverse Cursed Techniqueor knowing what it is.
Again, this could only be made possible using the power of his Cursed Technique, however, no more details have, so far, been provided to the fans about what his powers are and what he’s capable of doing. However, the very basic explanation of his ability that has been provided to the fans in the series is enough for this power to be considered one of the most dangerous ones in the story.
How Strong Is Takaba?
Overall, Takaba is a very strong fighter whose strength continuously grows the more he fights. As an entertainer, he will always be unpredictable and this also makes him a very dangerous character to take on in battle for anyone. Megumi himself confirmed that he would not want to be on the opposite side of a fighter such as himself. Even the likes of Reggie, who was quite strong, was on guard when up against Takaba. It must be noted that Takaba is able to put all these people on their guard without even knowing how to properly use his Cursed Technique. He will gain control over his powers at some point in the story or introducing this ability would be simply pointless. When he gains control over this power, fans could see the rise of another star in the world ofJJK.
Takaba will then automatically become one of the strongest characters in the Culling Game. Furthermore, currently, Takaba has a chance to showcase his incredible strength while he’s fighting against Kenjaku. In the previous chapter ofJJK, fans saw Takaba engage Kenjaku in combat. Even though he wasn’t interested in him at first, his opinion changed when he launched a powerful attack towards Takaba and noticed that he was unaffected. This battle will likely shape the character that is Takaba and might even lead to him awakening his true powers. When that happens, fans will see the rise of a sorcerer capable of takingon even Special Grades and maybe more.Thankfully, the manga is currently focused on this particular character and will likely continue to do so over the course of the next few weeks.
