Supply Points are an incredibly important aspect ofInsurgency: Sandstorm, making it vital that players understand not only what they are for but also how to get them. Players will likely figure out early on that they need Supply Points in order to make builds and loadouts, but the methods for earning Supply Points can be hard to figure out, especially since it is different depending on which game mode the player is playing. It’s not likeearning credits inInsurgency: Sandstorm, where players get them by leveling up.
InInsurgency: Sandstorm, every piece of equipment the player wants to take into battle with them will cost a certain amount of Supply Points. As a general rule, stronger equipment costs more Supply Points, so this is effectively the game’s way of balancing out classes. It’s important to note also that all players in a match gain Supply Points at the same rate in a match, meaning things should always be mostly balanced.

How to Get Supply Points
The first thing players should know is that the number of Supply Points they start with and how many they gain over the course of a match is dependent on the server. By default, players will start matches with 15 Supply Points, and in game modes where they gain Supply Points over time, they will gain one each time. This setting can be changed by the server owner, however, meaning players may wind up with a lot more or a lot fewer Supply Points depending on what servers they are playing on.
Aside from this, Supply Points are based on the game mode. In most game modes, players start with a set amount of Supply Points and do not gain any more throughout the match. This works because it allows players tocustomize loadouts inInsurgency: Sandstormthat work best for them. In certain game modes such as Outpost, players instead gain Supply Points by surviving each round. This recalls the more modular Supply Points features ofInsurgency: Sandstorm’s predecessor.
InInsurgency: Sandstorm, it’s more important for players to worry about how to wisely spend the Supply Points they have rather than how to get more. That said, players wanting to play in some high-powered matches should look for servers with higher Supply Points. It’s also worth noting that even with a ton of Supply Points, players will still need to think carefully about their build in order tomanage their characters' equipment weight inInsurgency: Sandstorm.
Insurgency: Sandstormis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
