One player decided to share a video clip that displays the full capabilities of Ana’s grenade ability by launching it from spawn in a competitive game ofOverwatch 2. The long-awaited title is the follow-up to the widely popular first-person shooter created by Blizzard. ThoughOverwatch 2launched with plenty of issues, the game is still managing to attract old and new fans with its free to play model for the sequel.
Originally,Overwatch 2had plans to include a story modethat had players take on enemies in a cooperative game mode similar to previous Overwatch seasonal events. Instead, however, the PvE portion ofOverwatch 2was delayed and Blizzard decided to focus on the multiplayer aspect and launch the new version of the game as a free to play online shooter. Currently, the game is in its second competitive season and fans have been sharing their most impressive clips among each other in the community.

One Ana player decided to share their own clip displaying their talents to Reddit. In the clip, the player can be seen respawning on the Liajang Tower map from the game. As soon as they exit the spawn, the player launches Ana’s grenade ability from spawn that goes over half of the stage before finally landing on one of the enemy support heroes who happened to be crossing the bridge at the worst time. The grenade finishes off theOverwatch 2Support hero Kiriko, and secures a kill for the player in the process.
OtherOverwatch 2fans shared their reaction to the clip in the comments. A few Junkrat players were pleased by the video and stated that they also enjoy getting ridiculous pot shot kills like this. Fellow Ana players added that launching grenades from spawn and waiting to see if it hit anything is one of their favorite plays to attempt as well and another user referenced the popular trend of paying homage to the legendary basketball player Kobe Bryant by simply typing “Kobe!”
The impressive clip displays part of the reason thatOverwatchbecame such a phenomenon in the first place. The game is easy to pick up but has a very high skill ceiling that allows players to experiment with heroes and pull off some ridiculous plays. Unfortunately,Overwatch 2still has lackluster battle passrewards and balancing issues that may eventually push players to a new competitive experience if not addressed.
Overwatch 2is available now on PC, PS5, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
