Warm up those magic wands!Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experienceis set to make its United States debut in October 2022 at Leesburg, VA’s Morven Park (about an hour from central DC). Tickets go on sale Thursday, July 28.
The immersive experience comes from Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment, Thinkwell, Unify and Fever, and recently had a successful run in the UK, where critics “encountered a whole host of magical creature,” and dubbed the experience as “breathtaking.” The experience takes place in the iconic Forbidden Forest and features creatures from theHarry PotterandFantastic Beastsseries.

Attendees will relive fan-favorite moments from the Forest,encounter creatures such as Hippogriffs, centaurs, unicorns, and Nifflers, and cast their own spells. At the end of the outdoor trail, visitors enter a themed village where they can enjoy themed food and drink (UK reviewers mentioned butterbeer and sweet treats), as well as a gift shop.

With Fever’s name on the partnership list, attendees should expect a spectacle. The London and New York City-based company recently debuted theimmersiveStranger ThingsExperiencein Brooklyn, New York. After the press preview, Game Rant complimented the spooky experience for its expert storytelling. We wrote, “While Netflix and Fever flawlessly pull their weight with the experience, participants have to go in with an open mind and a willingness to participate in all the adolescent, cheesy goodness to get the most out of it. It is a dream forStranger Thingsfans and the perfect build for the forthcoming season," which, at the time, was season four.
Based on the best-selling series by JK Rowling, theHarry Potterfranchise has helmed two popular movie franchises, a number ofvideo games, and an international stage production. The latest movie, part of theFantastic Beastsprequel series,Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,premiered in the United States on April 15. We reported that the releaseended its opening weekendtopping the domestic box office, but didn’t reach performance goals. Two more installments are expected to complete the movie series.
