With a wide variety of mechanics, classes, and equipment,Elden Ringoffers builds for every taste, but fans of builds through Dexterity cannot do withoutBloodhound’s Fang. At first glance, this weapon doesn’t stand out with outstanding characteristics and skills, and the low damage scaling indicators can deceive many players. However, the low usage requirement, early access to this blade, andmassive bleed damagemay change one’s opinion of this Greatsword.
The good news is that this weapon is available in the early stage ofElden Ring’s story, and experienced players can get it within the first hour of gameplay. However, if you are looking for this weapon for the first time, you might want some additional information regarding the process of acquiring it.

Bloodhound’s Fang Location in Elden Ring
The only way to get Bloodhound’s Fang inElden Ringis todefeat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, an early-game boss in thesouthern part of Limgrave. Finding this boss is relatively easy since it is located inForlorn Hound Evergaol, on the southern border of Limgrave with the Weeping Peninsula. You only need to get toAgheel Lake South Site of Graceand follow the narrow path leading up the slope in a southwest direction.
Once you reach Evergaol, you must interact with the arena to be transported to an alternate version of The Lands Between and defeat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. The main strength of this boss is its high speed and attacks that apply stacks ofBleed, which can be a problem for beginners. High mobility will be the key to victory, but here are some tips for those struggling:

Bloodhound’s Fang Abilities
It’s worth noting that once you get Bloodhound’s Fang, you probably won’t be able to test it in combat right away. To use this weapon, you must have at least18 Strengthand17 Dexterity. But having achieved these requirements, you will find that you ownan extremely effective weapon.
First, you should pay attention to thepassive bleeding effectthat will be applied to enemies during each attack. Most enemies are vulnerable to this type of damage, and if you accumulate the maximum bleeding scale, you will causeenormous damage to both ordinary creatures and bosses.

Bloodhound’s Fang’s second strength is its uniqueBloodhound’s Finesse skill. Thanks to this ability, you can uppercut with a sword and, thanks to the inertia from the blow, do a backflip to retreat. After this, you can useBloodhound’s Step attack. The second part of the skill allows you to make several consecutive strikes with a lunge forward. A short delay between the two halves of the ability allows you to retreat and avoid a counterattack. Successfully playing the entire combo guarantees decent stacks of Bleed on any enemy. This attack may even stagger some bosses.
Of course, this weapon only hasC scaling in DexterityandD in Strengthandcannot be enhanced by Ashes of War. However, increasing your Dexterity combined with the strengths of this weapon can show excellent results even in the late game.
